OpenCV supports a wide range of vision tasks, including object detection, feature extraction, motion tracking, and image segmentation.
In the Yahboom Transbot, which is a mobile robot platform equipped with cameras and sensors, OpenCV is ideal for implementing computer vision. Using OpenCV, the Transbot can process camera input and convert raw images into actions.

At our robotics workshops, trainees are not given a pre-configured Docker environment. To do this would save hours of set-up but as well strip them of one of the most important lesson in robotics: System Architecture.
Here's what Docker hides:
✅ Operating System nuances: How Linux actually handles resources.
✅ Dependency Management: What happens when a library version conflicts.
✅ Driver Integration: How the hardware actually talks to the code.
🛠️ What "Manual Setup" teaches:
🪧If your robot breaks in the real world, there is no "reset" button for a container. You have to know the underlying system. By building your own environment, you learn where the "pipes" are located.
Our core workshop sessions avoid Docker environments to ensure foundational mastery: equipping our trainees to be unbeatable when things go wrong.
Comfort is the enemy of competence.
