Everyone is familiar with the Long Island Serial Killer aka #LISK but many still don’t realize that there would be no closure, no arrest and no Justice without ONE very important young woman. The mere existence of LISK only became known bc LE was searching for a young woman named #ShannanGilbert. While they were searching for her, they found 10 OTHER separate sets of human remains (they all had names), 3 of them #RexHeuermann has been indicted for murdering. Most have been identified but not all. There is still a lot of work to be done. Shannan was the last one found, and it looks like she’ll be the last one to get Justice. Tomorrow marks 12 years to the day that she was finally found and the #Hunt for #LISK began…but it has been a slow painful process (unnecessary heartache added by LE), Shannan’s family was dismissed and not take seriously by the initial investigators bc they considered Shannan a “throw away”. They didn’t even connect her 911 calls to her disappearance until at after she was reported missing. And even then, LE kept the 911 calls sealed and would not allow family or the public to hear them. LE insisted Shannan was in a drug induced panic and ran into a marsh and succumbed to the elements. But when the 911 calls were finally released thanks to #JohnRay and #RodneyHarrison, we found out Shannan was in fear for her life and SHE SAID people were trying to kill her. She was terrified and yes she ran, she ran FOR HER LIFE! She ran from her driver who is serving unrelated time for human trafficking. She ran from the man that hired her that night, she ran from a neighborhood with ties to shady af people including those with connections to politicians and LE. I DO NOT believe Shannan CONCIDENTALLY ran into a nearby dumping ground of other dead woman with the same profession and “succumbed” to the elements. Shannan’s mother Mari never gave up, unfortunately she passed in 2016. The Gilbert’s family attorney John Ray has been Shannan and her families advocate, he has kept her case alive. He endures regular smear campaigns. He’s unstoppable. If it wasn’t for Shannan, the other women may have never been found and a killer would still be walking free hunting new victims. Shannan saved lives. I truly believe that. Now we need #JusticeForShannanGilbert. It’s been 12 years and LE still insists she was not a victim of LISK, they say it’s a coincidence that she dialed 911 for help, told the operator “they” were trying to kill her and then ENDED UP DEAD. They claim she was in a drug induced panic and ran into the marsh and at first they even speculated that she drown. Shannan was NOT found in water, she was found within 1/2 mile from where she called 911, her phone and other items were found separately of her. HER PHONE STILL WORKED. Call me a conspiracy theorist if you want. I believe Shannan was murdered. Her life mattered, and how she died MATTERS. Getting justice matters. After the arrest of Rex Heuermann a woman came forward that remembers seeing Shannan with Rex. The Suffolk police have been riddled with corruption and scandal and Shannan’s case got ZERO priority until Rodney Harrison came on the scene. Now Rodney’s term is up. New hands will be coming in, we cannot let Shannan get pushed to the bottom of the case pile again. There is new information to investigate.
