Day 23 / 31 zenn.dev/sonicgarden/article… #claude_on_sonicgarden #ClaudeCode

New in Emdash v1.1.19: - Smoother SSH remote project workflows - Navigation polish command palette improvements (including a feedback action) - Better PR/diff tooling: richer file list info, line stats, and improved PR comment rendering (incl. images) - New integrations/providers: Asana, Linear updates, Grok CLI ( RubyMine tool support) - UI upgrades: higher inactive-tab contrast, cleaner agent status dots, improved sidebar issue selector affordances - Stability performance fixes across platforms with lots of terminal reliability work (focus, cursor visibility, lifecycle scripts, Windows path/cmd.exe edge cases)

But on a more serious note, I disabled auto-save earlier in my career after a sad incident. Had my RubyMine IDE connected to a remote server, modifying code directly, not source control. Then something happened and I just lost the whole code. The file was empty and undo couldn’t fix it. It had auto-saved to the server too so I couldn’t cancel the edit. From that day!!!!!! 😭😭😭😭

Do you guys not set your IDE to auto-save?

i paid for rubymine for years and then switched to emacs and never looked back. rubymine was just too laggy to be used daily
it's wild how VS Code became the industry standard while JetBrains spent years building actually superior IDEs that nobody wants to pay for anymore

One of the truly amazing things about JetBrains model is that they do both. They both provide IDEs targeted at specific languages/experiences(WebStorm/RubyMine etc), and also an all-in-one IDE that has plugins for each language(Intellij)

rubymineを社内で推奨しなくなった理由はruby_lspが実用段階に達したからが一番大きな理由だけど、バグあるいは改善を要望して存在が認められても最低1年以上修正にかかってるんだよな。OSSじゃないから自分でもなおせないし
