🌟 Meet Hollie running the Irish Life Marathon for Diabetes Ireland! 🩵🏃♀️
“My name is Hollie and I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in 2022, just before my 20th birthday.
Adjusting to life with T1D wasn’t easy, learning to manage insulin, blood sugars, and daily routines was a huge change.
Before my diagnosis, I loved playing rugby, working part-time in a bar, and studying in college. At first, I worried about how I’d keep doing all the things I loved.
With the incredible support from Diabetes Ireland and my local clinic, I learned that diabetes doesn’t have to stop me, it just means doing things a little differently.
This year, I’ve taken up running and set myself a big challenge, The Dublin Marathon! I’m running not only to raise funds for Diabetes Ireland, but to show that while there are daily challenges with T1D, there’s nothing we can’t achieve.
I’m running for myself, for awareness, and for all my Diabuddies out there who show strength every single day.
It would mean the world if you could support my journey by sharing or donating to my fundraising page below ⬇️
