Manchester united match is just started but let do a quick one
Never Mix Different Solar Panels on the Same Line.
You should never wire different solar panels together in the same series string.
A 350watt panel and a 355 watt panel are not the same even if they look similar.
Sometime Last year, I inspected a 5KVA system in Ikoyi, Lagos. The owner told me his battery wasn’t charging well, even when the sun was strong. When I checked the inverter, the solar voltage reading was only 62V. The system was supposed to be getting around 120V from the panels.
I went up to the roof and saw the problem. He had connected two different brands of panels in one string. One group was 355W, the other 350W. They were not working well together.
When you connect different panels in one line, the entire system works at the level of the weakest panel. The stronger panels slow down to match the weaker one.
In this case, the owner was losing about 30% of the solar power he should have been getting enough to run his lights for extra hours every night.
I fixed it by separating the panels into two matched sets and connecting each to its own input on the inverter. Right away, the voltage went back to normal and the batteries charged properly.
Mixing panels is like using two different sized tires on the same car axle the car can only go as fast as the smaller tire allows.
If you are adding to your solar system, always use panels with the same wattage and specs.
If you can’t, use separate charge controllers or inverter inputs for each type.
Your solar setup is too valuable to lose power over a simple wiring error.
