How can we fix @bbcnews?
BBC News has systematically neglected it's duty to inform the Public of the things that matter most. Just because Trump is the one attacking it at the moment, doesn't make them worth defending. Remember, they did the same to Corbyn? It's not about "left" or "right" but needing journalism that is unafraid to challenge power.
That is why I propose we replace the Board with journalists based on ONE qualification:
They must have been detained or interrogated by U.K. authorities. âď¸
That's how we know for sure they are a threat to power, which is what journalism is SUPPOSED to be.
Letâs not âdefendâ what is broken, but instead FIX BBC News.
#TruthToPower#SaveTheBBC
Well said. So many un-patriotic British people who got political reasons it seems want to destroy all of something rather than repair what is broken. Shame on them all. #SaveTheBBC
The BBCâs silly and unnecessary editing mistake does not change the FACT that Trump encouraged and inspired the violence that led to death and devastation on Jan 6 after he LOST the election. That should be made clear in all communications to his Mafia style lawyers and to the public. He has zero case and that should be communicated with absolute confidence, with the full and voluble backing of đŹđ§government. And all those who are encouraging and exhorting a foreign felon leader to take down one of Britainâs greatest institutions should never have the gall to call themselves patriots again. Thank you for your attention to this matter
Iâm generally with you on this, but addressing the systemic bias on gender issues is part of saving the BBC from itself. Anyone pretending thereâs just been a few mistakes on this is not doing this important national treasure any favours in the long run.

Seriously @RussianEmbassy you are going here!!
Russia does not have a free press and pumps out weapon grade misinformation daily.
Russia kills journalists.
So sit this one out you stupid motherfuckers!!
Like and Retweet if you agree.

I wonât believe it until I see them monitoring themselves for both bias & bias by omission.
No more looking the other way as women fight to be heard, & they must actively hold authorities to account on enforcing the law & any undermining of single sex services. #savethebbc
First the oligarchs bought the papers.
Now the authoritarians attack the BBC from both sides.
Russia calls it Russophobia.
Trump calls it fake news.
Different flags, same project đto finish off Britainâs public sphere.

â @BBC has become a platform for Russophobia and extremism, a part of Kiev's propaganda machine and a fake news factory.
The time will come and those in charge of the BBC will be compelled to apologise publicly for years of slander against Russia.

@JimBethell, just for youâŹď¸
Ever since the Conservatives began exerting influence by installing their allies in key BBC positions over the past five years (since Tim Davieâs appointment in September 2020), the BBC has steadily lost its independence.
These attacks are blatantly coordinated. Just consider who Michael Prescott is, the Telegraphâs agenda and its owners, Prescottâs close friend Robbie Gibb (a BBC Board member), Boris Johnsonâs long history of threatening the corporation, and now Trumpâs press secretary labelling the BBC â100% fake newsâ. The picture couldnât be clearer.
Yes, the BBC has made serious errors, but the real question is what the BBC Board â the body responsible for oversight and holding editors and leadership to account â has actually done. The leaking of internal documents and the Boardâs reluctance to confront or properly investigate those leaks speak volumes: it strongly suggests the BBC has enemies within.

The Right fighting amongst themselves
Most of BBC board are Tories
BBC board member with links to the Conservative party âled the chargeâ in pressuring the corporationâs leadership over claims of systemic bias in coverage of Donald Trump, Gaza and transgender rights, the Guardian has been told.
Sources said Robbie Gibb, Theresa Mayâs former communications chief who was appointed to the BBCâs board during Boris Johnsonâs time as prime minister, amplified the criticisms in key board meetings that preceded the shock resignation of the director general, Tim Davie, and the head of BBC News, Deborah Turness.

I told myself this morning: I'm going to check who's celebrating this situation with the BBC.
The same ones who created chaos over the last few years and even today âŹď¸
