This is circulating as a “Did you know this?” video, and if you read the @Chicago_Reader, you absolutely did know this! Yet another reason why journalism matters and we’re all lucky that @Reader_Union fought so hard to #SaveTheReader.

A few days ago I attended the #SaveTheReader rally, and I am happy to hear that @Chicago_Reader will become a nonprofit publication and continue to be an important part of the community. Their continued success is vital to our future.

Today would be a great day for @GoodmanLen to #FreeTheReader. Our jobs and the future of independent nonprofit journalism in Chicago are at stake. Len, do the right thing and help us #SaveTheReader while we still can

We'll keep protesting until he comes to the table and closes the sale to #FreeTheReader#SaveTheReader
