This is grossly offensive to all women and girls: The charges against Jesse Butler stemmed from a September 2024 investigation, which began after two girls at Stillwater High School, Oklahoma came forward with several allegations against him.
Butler strangled his first girlfriend when she refused to have sex with him in February 2024. She passed out. When she regained consciousness he was laughing at her.
His handprint was on her neck. She was 30 seconds away from dying, a Dr said. She needed surgery on her neck.
Months later he sexu@lly assaulted another girlfriend. He recorded it on his phone. She lost consciousness. A detective searched his video and found the recording.
In August, Butler pleaded no contest to 11 counts against him.
Butler faced 78 years in prison but due to a plea deal between the prosecution and defense teams he received community service and attend counseling instead. His father is the former director of operations for Oklahoma State University’s football team.
That’s not justice. What about the victims? What about girls and women? They should be protected first and foremost.
In victim impact statements cited by KOCO, one of the girls would later say: “I’ve had to explain bruises, explain silence, explain why I started isolating from people who love me.”
“You didn’t just strangle me with your hands, you strangled my voice, my joy, my ability to feel safe in my own body,” she said.
Jesse Butler will do this again. Strangulation increases the risk of homicide 700%, 800% if he’s done it before.
From what I know about behaviour, next time there won’t be a surviving victim. He’s a serial killer in the making. He just been enabled and greenlit 💣💀🤬
