*IFP In Parliament | Farewell Speeches*
As the 7th Administration wraps for the year 2025 in the National Assembly, Hon. Nhlanhla Hadebe, IFP Parliamentary Caucus Chief Whip delivered the IFPโs farewell message in the final sitting of the year โ a moment marked by reflection, gratitude, and remembrance.
He honored the late Hon. KP Sithole, IFP Deputy Chief Whip, whose passing leaves an irreplaceable void in the Caucus and in the House.
The IFP extended condolences to all South Africans who enter the festive season carrying the pain of loss.
Hon. Hadebe expressed appreciation to the Speaker, Deputy Speaker, Presiding Officers, Parliamentary staff and cleaning teams for their service throughout the year.
He acknowledged the restored sense of stability in government, while noting persistent challenges such as youth unemployment and the continued threat of violence against women.
The IFP welcomed Minister Velenkosini Hlabisaโs leadership in driving the classification of GBVF as a national disaster.
As the country enters the festive season, the IFP urges all South Africans to priorities safety on the roads, avoid excessive drinking, and reminds businesses that selling alcohol to minors is a criminal offence.
The IFP also thanked Members for the robust, mature debates that have shaped the yearโs work โ a true demonstration of democracy in action.
We wish all South Africans a restful, safe and reflective festive season.
