A few years back I feel into a really bad down spot and stayed there for a long time. When I thought I’d hit rock bottom, I fell even further after my dad died in a house fire and my mom abandoned my youngest brother to foster care. I have C-PTSD, panic disorder, anxiety and depression. At some point 6ish years ago I recognized the spiral I was in and chose to make changes where I could, as I could.
Fast forward 6ish years between these pictures. I finished my BBA and fought the corporate ladder to grow my career. I fixed my credit, bought my first vehicle, and developed a plan for buying a house by the end of 2023. In November 2023 I finally admitted to myself that my weight, physical and mental health were out of control and I started my mission to fix it.
I lost 65 pounds, I have a clean bill of health, I started
#hiking and increasing my time
#outside. My mental health is improving after a lot of reading, CBT, somatic therapy, physical therapy, self reflection, and becoming more
#active. I have an unofficial therapy poodle (who needs better training, but we’re doing our best). 💛
I’ve decided to make my story public because I want to show others it’s possible. I’m just a regular person, a wife & mom in her mid 30s with kids and a full-time career. I’m a firm believer that more is always possible if you’ve got enough grit. I’m interested in growing a
#community of like minded people here on X & it’s my newest mission to do so. I believe we are ALL able to achieve
#greatness but we must all start somewhere.
Follow me on my
#journey of
#healing,
#hope, and
#love. I’m a good human and I hope others can get with the good vibes and be part of my
#tribe.
Love, light, and blessings to all. 💛☀️
