L’ambassade des États-Unis félicite Mme Doumbouya Habibatou Bah, cofondatrice de Koumakan – La Maison de la tradition orale et du patrimoine culturel, qui participe actuellement au Programme international de leadership pour les visiteurs (IVLP) du Département d’État américain.
Cet échange de 21 jours, intitulé « Main-d'œuvre et développement des entreprises : des perspectives pour les jeunes », lui permettra de rencontrer des professionnels et des organisations américains afin de partager des idées, de tisser des liens et d'explorer des approches concrètes susceptibles de bénéficier aux jeunes Guinéens.

It was a privilege to serve on the *Empowerment Committee* of The Power of 10 Million: One Voice, One Movement, One Choice. I am deeply grateful for the leadership of the indefatigable Honourable Minister for Women Affairs, Iman Suleiman-Ibrahim.
This movement is a deliberate and strategic effort, championed by the Ministry of Women Affairs headed by Honourable Minister Iman Suleiman-Ibrahim, First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, in collaboration with office of the First Lady, Mrs Oluremi Tinubu, to consolidate women into a strong, organized constituency, one that is empowered to participate meaningfully in economic development, influence policy, build sustainable livelihoods, and drive national progress from the grassroots upward.
I witnessed firsthand women receiving empowerment materials that will directly support their businesses and improve their capacity to earn and sustain income. What stood out was the exceptional quality and thoughtfulness behind the items distributed, clearly aligned with key Sustainable Development Goals: No Poverty, Zero Hunger, Decent Work and Economic Growth, and Reduced Inequalities.
From keke napep, salon kits, grinding machines, harvesters, mechanized farming tools, generators, deep freezers, and more, these were not symbolic gestures but practical tools for real economic transformation. Beyond this, many beneficiaries have undergone training in arts and crafts, ICT, tailoring, and other vocational skills.
Importantly, The Power of 10 Million did not end with the event. The trainings are ongoing, marking the beginning of something far greater, long term, sustainable development in the lives of Nigerian women.
This is unprecedented. A bold, structured, and impactful intervention at scale.
Congratulations to my sister and Honourable Minister, Hajiya Iman, for this foresight and execution. Indeed, it is women o’clock.

Lors de ses échanges avec le Chargé des affaires publiques GD, le Directeur pays du CDC Mohamed Jalloh et la Coordinatrice de l’assistance étrangère Colleen Oakes, le Dr Fokam a expliqué comment il compte tirer parti de cette opportunité pour renforcer son action au sein du Ministère de la Santé publique et faire progresser la stratégie mondiale de santé America First.
Au cours des prochaines semaines, le Dr Fokam parcourra les États-Unis afin d’examiner comment l’innovation américaine en santé contribue à améliorer la surveillance mondiale des menaces sanitaires et à renforcer les systèmes de santé à l’échelle internationale.
