My mother tongue is Kannada and I studied in English medium. I value the generations who fought to preserve and promote Kannada in Karnataka. At the same time, learning Hindi through the three-language policy has been useful in connecting with more people and accessing a wider range of content. Article 343 gives Hindi a special place as an Official Language, but India's linguistic strength comes from respecting and nurturing all languages. But truth requires historical accuracy, not ideological projection.The Arvanites are a Greek population who historically spoke Arvanitika — a language, not a national identity. They were: - Greek Orthodox - self-identified as Greeks - leaders and fighters of the Greek War of Independence founders and defenders of the Greek stateLanguage does not define nationality. Religion, self-identification, political allegiance, and historical continuity do.No Arvanite community has ever demanded recognition as an Albanian minority within Greece. No Albanian state existed when Arvanites formed their identity. Retroactively assigning them a modern national identity they never claimed is not recognition. Ιt is historical distortion. Self-identification is a right. Imposing an identity on others, against their recorded will and historical record, is not. You cannot demand respect for self-identification while denying it to those who historically identified as Greeks. That contradiction speaks for itself.

Had an insightful meeting with Sanskrit Education Secretary Shri Chandresh Kumar Yadav and Vice Chancellor of Uttarakhand Sanskrit University, Prof. Dinesh Chandra Shastri. They provided updates on the ongoing activities related to Sanskrit language in the university and our state. Sanskrit is the second official language of our state, and it is our collective responsibility to ensure its preservation and promotion. Uttarakhand Sanskrit University plays an important role in this regard, and efforts are underway to enhance the learning environment and facilities for students. Uttarakhand Sanskrit University must explore student exchange programs with other universities to facilitate research and academic collaboration. Our Language, Our pride: Bangla Secured through Blood -- Every year, we take a step back to commemorate our gallant heroes who sacrificed their lives on the fateful day of #21February, 1952 in a bid to defend and uphold our mother tongue and secure it as #StateLanguage. Taking on the powerful state machinery of Pakistan, these young men defended the right of every #Bengali citizen to speak their own language. In many respects, the language movement was more than a movement to defend the Bengali #language; it was an endeavour to defend all that we hold dear in terms of national cultural identity. And now, for more than a decade, the whole world celebrates ‘#AmorEkushey’ with us in the name of #InternationalMotherLanguageDay.
