You sign a contract legally requiring you to report on your transactions on a monthly basis, which Apple is allowed to audit. StoreKit generates specific external-purchase tokens that Apple has visibility of. Seems pretty likely that they sanity-check your reported transactions vs those tokens Underreporting gives them the right to suspend or terminate you from the Developer Program There isn't much out there about this sort of thing actually happening, but that's mostly because the opt in rate to the Alternative Terms is very very very very (very) low

React Native saves a month of coding time but costs thousands in lost StoreKit subscriptions. I only build native iOS because a paywall needs to feel like the operating system. Cross-platform wrappers feel like a laggy webpage right when the user decides to pay.

Invoking the power of the Solo developers! 🙌🏽 I am building an Kineo, an app that will be on Apple Store . Currently setting up IAP and was wondering if I should go with revenue cat or use the native StoreKit from Apple? What are the Pro’s/Con’s? And what do you all recommend? Thanks for the help!

Yesterday I published my real app: planch.app It’s a smart to do list, that knows what needs to be done now. But I implemented raw StoreKit 2 from @Apple instead of using a @RevenueCat and now I have no visibility for at least 24h Was it a mistake? You tell me.

I don't get any SKAN at all loll. Maybe its the native storekit sdk or smth? I have no knowledge about this honestly.

RevenueCat handles cross-platform subscription logic, receipt validation, and analytics in one place - so when I add Android later, the paywall logic doesn't need to be rebuilt. Native StoreKit would mean writing/maintaining that myself, plus RC's dashboard makes it way easier to see real-time MRR/conversion without digging through App Store Connect.

Here are the numbers: 1 vendor dashboard 6 native frameworks 0 external SDKs Most devs consider SwiftUI, StoreKit, CloudKit, SwiftData, CoreML, and Apple Pay dangerous platform lock-in. I just view this stack as the ultimate speed leverage to build and ship solo.

Hard app crashes are not my most expensive production bug. A sloppy StoreKit observer that processes Apple Pay but fails to unlock the premium UI costs much more. This weak execution guarantees instant chargebacks and destroys my App Store rating with 1-star reviews.

So with storekit it will provide values to paywall and emit the transaction states, but for our app which uses revenuecat the entitlements won’t work, so the flows won’t work as well If we’re signed in and make a purchase via testflight registered email the whole flow works just fine

Yup - for IAP, we are releasing a storekit integration this week so that will now be possible - can drop a guide on this in a bit For auth override, I recommend using a bypass token in simulator builds that skips your auth flow, we have an example here if curious! github.com/RevylAI/bug-bazaa…

@Apple Apple is sitting on the most powerful no-code/vibe-coding platform in the world and hasn’t built it yet. Xcode SwiftUI CloudKit StoreKit TestFlight App Store Connect Apple Intelligence. Let founders describe an app in plain English and ship directly to the App Store. I’d use it tomorrow. If Apple launched this at WWDC 2027, what would you build first? @Apple

WWDC 2026: Implications for the App Economy To my mind, the new tools, features, or pieces of functionality introduced at WWDC 2026 that are meaningful to the app economy are presented in seven developer videos. Across these seven, the developer-facing announcements can be bucketed into two workstreams. The first is Siri and Apple Intelligence integration via App Intents: Apple is clearly nudging developers toward schema-based entities and actions, semantic indexing in Spotlight, on-screen entity annotations, and UI interaction declarations so Siri can understand app content, context, and follow-up requests with much less custom NLP work. The second is distribution and monetization: richer App Store creative placements, cancellation-time retention messaging, more expansive subscription packaging, group and organization purchases, and new game-delivery tooling around StoreKit and Background Assets through a deeper integration with Unity. mobiledevmemo.com/wwdc-2026-…
