In today's interconnected world, Systems of Systems (SoS) enable independent systems to collaborate, achieving objectives beyond the capabilities of individual components. However, System of Systems Engineering (SoSE) faces unique challenges, including integration, interoperability, and lifecycle management. Artificial Intelligence (AI) offers transformative potential to address these challenges, yet its application within SoSE remains underexplored. I will introduce a structured framework for integrating AI into SoSE, aligning AI technologies with key SoS functionalities and lifecycle stages. Through diverse case studies, it will be demonstrated how AI enhances coordination, decision-making, and scalability in complex SoS, paving the way for adaptive and resilient solutions.
