Transcutaneous peripheral nerve stimulation (TPNS) is a technique that uses mild electrical impulses delivered through the skin to activate nerves in the arm and influence brain circuits that may control tremor. Ondo and colleagues describe, in a new paper that just dropped in JAMA Neurology, that a randomized clinical trial testing of an artificial intelligence driven wearable device stimulating the radial, median and ulnar nerves could reduce tremor severity in folks living w/ essential tremor.
