NCL organised a three day Technical Development Programme for Mining Supervisors of NCL w at from 25th May, 2026 to 27th May, 2026 CETI/MDI, Singrauli. During the session, Shri Surajit Mitter, Ex Chief Manager (Mining), BCCL provided insights regarding Duties & responsibilities of the Mining Supervisors, Competent Persons & Officials, Quality of inspection and writing of statutory report. Importance of the Safety Talk and skill to deliver the Safety Talk, Tool Box Safety Talk and Use of Quality Circle Technique for the improvement in work environment, Statutory provisions of Mines Act, CMR 2017 & Mines Rules and the Latest development in legislative provisions, Communication, motivation & methods to develop the decision making capacity. The program also covered topics including Take 5 for Safety, PEEPO based tests & inspection, Overview of Safety Management Plan (SMP), Code of Practice, Safe Operating Procedures & Standing Orders, Workers participation in Safety Management,Role, function, duties & responsibilities of Workmen’s Inspector (WI).
