The 3rd ITTAC Conference 2026, organised by the Automotive Tyre Manufacturers’ Association (ATMA), served as an important platform for deliberations on the future of mobility and testing standards.
Addressing the Conference, Dr. Hanif Qureshi, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Heavy Industries, outlined the road ahead for India’s automotive sector. He emphasised that the evolving landscape of future mobility will necessitate more rigorous and advanced testing standards.
He further underscored the imperative of expanding test track infrastructure and strengthening testing and certification agencies, noting that appropriate Government provisions are already in place to support this next phase of growth and technological advancement.
