The logging industry’s decline in Northern California during the past few decades led many sawmills to shutter, affecting communities that had long depended on timber production. But there is still a need for logging as state agencies such as Cal Fire increasingly back logging and forest-thinning projects as key strategies for reducing wildfire risk. In Trinity County, local teachers and others in the community worked to secure grants that helped Hayfork High School begin construction on its own sawmill in 2024. Last month, the school held a grand opening for the sawmill, which is nearly complete. The hope is that the sawmill will stoke much-needed interest in the forestry field. “It’s important to support logging through projects like this because our forests don’t stop growing,” said Ren Winters, a forester and former Hayfork High School student. “We have not been good stewards of our public lands for decades, and programs like this will ensure a workforce for the future.” Read more in Ag Alert: bit.ly/4oqvi37 #News #AgAlert #CAFarmBureau #Sawmill #Logging #TrinityCounty #FFA #Forestry

From today's @TrinityCounty Supervisor meeting!
“Far from benign, these [COVID-19] vaccines have unleashed profound harm, disrupting nearly every system of the human body and contributing to unprecedented levels of morbidity and mortality —from autoimmune diseases and cardiovascular catastrophes to pregnancy complications and aggressive cancers,” said Butte County resident Julie Threet, reading the abstract of a peer-reviewed study which Dr. James Thorp and Dr. Peter McCullough are named on it. “The pattern of systemic toxicity cannot be dismissed as coincidental,” Julie informed Trinity County Board of Supervisor (BOS) members, seen in this first video. “Urgent scrutiny and accountability are needed.” Following Julie, I cited California Health & Safety Code 101025 by informing Trinity County’s BOS members earlier today that it’s the “responsibility to at least let your residents know that these vaccines are not safe and effective.” In the second video we discuss Julie’s 33rd California county BOS meeting in-person appearance and my 50th BOS meeting. @julie4butte5 @P_McCulloughMD @jathorpmfm @Healingground2 @BetrayalProjCA @Betrayal_Proj @keith_steinle @Earthdriver @Txccblakeman @SharylAttkisson @ceoprotagonist @NicoleShanahan @alixm @AFistfulOfTruth

🏛️ Debate Over Trinity County Jail Proposal Sparks Community Discussion 🏛️ Trinity County, TX – A proposed bond election to fund the construction of a new multimillion-dollar jail has sparked strong debate in the community. An anonymous post circulating online raised concerns about the project, pointing to potential tax increases, staffing shortages, and questions about budgeting priorities. The post also questioned why repairs—such as a roof project—were being pursued for a facility the Sheriff has said is inadequate. In response, Sheriff Woody Wallace clarified that: • There are no state or federal grants available to build county jails. • The roof project being discussed is for the courthouse, not the jail. • His goal is not to sway voters for or against the bond, but to ensure residents have the opportunity to weigh the real long-term costs of housing inmates out of county versus investing in a local facility. Sheriff Wallace emphasized that Townhall meetings are being held to provide accurate information, encourage civil discussion, and hear alternative solutions. He urged residents to attend Commissioners Court, ask questions directly, and avoid relying on rumors. “This decision belongs to the people of Trinity County,” Wallace stated. “My door is always open if anyone wants to sit down and go over the facts.” 📞 Trinity County Sheriff’s Office: (936) 642-1424 #TrinityCounty #TexasNews #LocalGovernment #CommunityVoice #PublicSafety
