Use a Chromium based browser — Ledger hardware wallet connections require Google Chrome or Brave browser. Firefox and Safari do NOT support Ledger WebUSB/WebHID connections so switch browsers first if you haven’t already

What I did think is "wow, I love not having to change my user agent to chrome to load into this site!" and not "oh now I have to open chrome to use WebUSB!"

I use WebUSB on the regular to configure my keyboard because the drivers were Windows Only, I also use it to interface with my custom macropad. It's the best way i've found to interface with a hardware device cross-platform. uBO works perfectly in Helium too

it makes a huge difference, without DNS API uBO is limited without the ability to create both buttons there's no way to create easy to use reading list you'd be using everyday WebUSB isn't anywhere near basic, THAT'S the niche that you'll never use most likely

Except I don't judge a browser by niche API differences that have never and will never affect me as an end user or even a developer. Firefox doesn't support basic things like WebUSB, which is a far greater gap than any extensions API inconsistency

Btw, for the body I went a slightly different route: I used a separate DRV8833 as the motor driver (easier than buying a heat gun and reusing the H-bridge) and went with Wi-Fi with the first esp32 I found instead of WebUSB, so I could have multiple controllers

proof of concept done! - remove soic from original robot - wire up h-bridge with ft232h - connect ft232h to android phone via usb-c - website with webusb to talk to ft232h now i can draw the rest of the owl with simple web tech, 3d print a new top to stuff the phone in, and i'm done. full android device power is so much nicer than dinky mcus. can do STT/TTS, etc. basically run an agent on the phone, exposing motor and phone sensors to it as tools :D

@FMyballzich Hey, That’s usually a bridge/WebUSB issue between MetaMask and Trezor, not the wallet itself. I’ve fixed this a few times after recent Chrome/MM updates, there’s a quick way to isolate whether it’s the browser handshake, MM permissions, or the Trezor transport layer
