The International Relations Division, NCERT, organised a talk on “Implementing and Optimizing Education Programs for Scale: Evidence from Rapid A/B Testing.”
Prof. Ramanujam Meganathan welcomed the speaker, Dr. Noam Angrist, Academic Director, What Works Hub for Global Education, University of Oxford.
Dr. Angrist introduced the “What Works Hub” and its three pillars—Evidence Synthesis, Evidence Use, and Implementation Science. He highlighted the gap between efficacy and practice at scale, stressing how A/B testing using the “3Rs” (Rigorous, Rapid, Regular) can improve education policy decisions. He shared examples where cost-effective interventions were equally impactful.
Professors, researchers, and education professionals from NIEPA, SCERT, British Council, and NCERT divisions actively participated, discussing evidence-based strategies for strengthening education systems.
The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Darsana B.G., International Relations Division, NCERT.
