The @WHO World Health Statistics report states that tobacco continues to be one of the leading risk factors for premature deaths globally & that smoking cessation before the age of 40 reduces the risk of death by about 90%. #WorldHealthData #FCTCSavesLives bit.ly/3ozPQal

Among women, the🗺️prevalence of tobacco use has declined from 16.7% in 2000 to 8.5% in 2018,& among men from 50% to 38.6% over the same period. Implementing the WHO FCTC will help Parties to reduce prevalence of tobacco use even more. #WorldHealthData👉bit.ly/3ozPQal
