Code based art communities have always shared code, it helps everyone grow. 👍
Around 1999 at my first web design job I started using Flash and had a basic grasp of actionscript. If there was anything I wanted to learn or achieve guaranteed there were resources like Flashkit or artists like @JoshuaDavis who would generously share their art, work and experiments code.
Fast forward 20 years or so and I got back into using Flash (now Animate) to build the generative art I published on @fx_hash_ and @Highlight_xyz . It was real fun getting into actionsrcipt again 🤣.
My recent generative work to date has used code alongside image assets. Lately ive been experimenting with all-code artworks that would be small enough to live on-chain. 💾
Truth. It's too easy for legit devs to slide into apathetic vibe coding; moving code quickly. Stagnating cognitively & failing to keep up with what's left of the organic coding ecosystem - like the evolution JS to TS, death of actionscript, rise of Rust etc.
I taught myself Macromedia* Flash/Actionscript in 1999, just by endless trial and error, and being inspired by the created experiences of others who were doing the same.

Had a spell of stomach flu but I am recovering.
Playing Spell Story now with my boys. I made this game in adobe flash with over 10k lines of actionscript back in 2009.
