An alleged incident of police high-handedness has surfaced in Kolar district after a police constable reportedly broke the rear windshield of a car following an argument with a motorist over a seatbelt violation. The incident occurred in front of Nangali Police Station in Mulbagal taluk. The motorist, identified as Devaraj, was travelling from Bangarupalya in Andhra Pradesh to Bengaluru along with his wife and child. According to sources, police personnel were conducting vehicle checks near the police station when Devaraj was stopped for allegedly not wearing a seatbelt. During the inspection, a verbal altercation reportedly broke out between Devaraj and a police constable. Police allegedly asked Devaraj to pay the fine immediately. However, Devaraj is said to have requested a notice and receipt, stating that he did not have money at the time and would pay the penalty in court. Sources claim that the police insisted he move the vehicle to the side of the road. As Devaraj attempted to move the car, one of its wheels reportedly brushed against the foot of Constable Srinivas. Angered by the incident, the constable allegedly struck the vehicle with his lathi, shattering the rear windshield. Following the incident, Devaraj parked his car across the service road of National Highway 75 in protest, resulting in a temporary traffic disruption near Nangali Police Station. Devaraj and his family have expressed outrage over the alleged misconduct, accusing the police of excessive use of authority. They contend that motorists are generally given time to pay fines after a case is registered and questioned the insistence on immediate payment. The incident has sparked criticism of the police action, and a case is expected to be registered. Further details are awaited.

The colonial mindset is still alive and thriving. When organizations like @Bloomberg publish flawed analyses about India, many people accept them as unquestionable truth simply because they come from established Western institutions. The recent gold-reserve controversy is a perfect example: a sensational claim was amplified globally, only for Indian authorities to categorically reject it. This is exactly why foreign media organizations and short-seller research firms should not be treated as infallible arbiters of truth. They are not neutral guardians of reality. They have biases, incentives, assumptions, and, at times, they get things wrong. India does not need validation from overseas newsrooms, analysts, or commentators #ColonialMindset #IndiaRising #Bloomberg
A news report published by @Bloomberg states that RBI may have sold gold amounting to approximately USD 12 billion. #PIBFactCheck ❌ This claim is FAKE ✔️ According to @RBI, the share of gold in India's foreign exchange reserves rose from 13.92% at end-September 2025 to 16.70% on March 31, 2026, and further to 16.85% as of May 22, 2026. ▶️ The physical stock of gold is also disclosed by RBI in its Monthly Bulletin. 🛑Aftenposten, Norway’s largest newspaper, has published a demeaning racist caricature depicting Prime Minister Modi as a snake charmer alongside an opinion piece titled “A clever and slightly annoying man”, soon after the Prime Minister concluded his visit to Norway. 🔥The newspaper is now facing sharp criticism and widespread public outrage from all sections of society for spreading anti-India hatred and insulting a democratically elected leader. ⚔️Those who display their colonial mindset by making such racist remarks against the Indian Prime Minister should remember that India’s ancient culture also teaches “to strike the obstinate with a stick”! 🚫Such anti-India journalists, their newspapers, and websites should be completely banned in India! @Aftenposten #PMModi #Norway #Cartoon #Aftenposten #ColonialMindset

“Indians and Dogs Not Allowed” जैसी सोच उसी औपनिवेशिक अहंकार का प्रतीक थी।

Norway’s @Aftenposten just exposed its own colonial racism in broad daylight. Aftenposten, Norway’s largest and most influential newspaper, published a commentary accompanied by a cartoon steeped in racist, colonial-era caricature. Depicting Prime Minister @NarendraModi, leader of the world’s largest democracy and the 4th largest economy, soon to be the 3rd, as a snake charmer, under the sneering headline “En lur og litt irriterende mann” (“A sneaky and slightly annoying man”), is not satire. It’s a racist, derogatory trope straight out of the British Raj playbook. The exact stereotype PM Modi dismantled years ago when he declared: India is no longer the land of snake charmers. It’s the land of Digital India. Your cartoon proves you’re the ones still living in the past. This isn’t journalism. It’s privileged "Colonial cope" from a tiny, oil-soaked nation of 5.6 million people that can’t stomach a 1.44 billion-strong civilization rising on its own terms. Here are the facts your “kommentar” conveniently ignores: 1. India is the fastest-growing major economy on Earth. IMF projects 6.5% real GDP growth in 2026-27 - outpacing every large Western economy while you lecture India (and indeed the Global South) from your oil-funded perch. 2. Hundreds of millions lifted out of poverty. Under Modi, extreme poverty has plummeted (World Bank data: from 16.2% to 2.3% between 2011-2023; multidimensional poverty down dramatically). Rural poverty alone crashed from 18.4% to 2.8%. That’s hundreds of millions of lives transformed through direct benefit transfers, financial inclusion, and infrastructure - not lectures from Oslo. 3. A digital revolution the world is now studying. India built public digital infrastructure at a civilisational scale. UPI, its instant payment system, processes more real-time digital transactions than the rest of the world combined, from street vendors to global businesses. Aadhaar gave over 1.4 billion people a verifiable digital identity, enabling direct welfare delivery, banking access, and inclusion at a scale no Western country has attempted. Add to this India’s rapid renewables deployment, space milestones like Chandrayaan and Gaganyaan, and its vaccine supply to the Global South, and the picture is clear: this is not snake-charmer India. This is systems-scale, future-facing India. 4. Strategic autonomy isn’t “sneaky”; it’s smart. India buys discounted because it’s in India's national interest - just like Norway exports its own massive fossil fuels to Europe and cashes in on the same energy crisis. Your GDP per capita is about 106,000 dollars because of oil wealth. India’s is about $2,800 because it is lifting a population the size of Europe plus North America combined. The hypocrisy is staggering. Norway's population is smaller than many Indian cities. The economy built on the very fossil fuels you moralize about. Yet you draw racist cartoons about the leader of the world’s largest democracy because we refuse to be your geopolitical vassal. The real “annoying” thing? India’s unstoppable rise exposes your fading relevance and outdated prejudices. India (and the Global South) don’t need your approval. We’re too busy building the future you’re jealous of. Share this wide - the narrative merchants hate facts. FACTS >>> NARRATIVES Note: Readers, if you are reading this, please do you thing, share widely and tag @Aftenposten and every Norwegian outlet that still thinks 2026 is 1857. Norwegian journalist Helle Lyng Svendsen heckles PM Modi in Oslo with loaded gotcha questions: 'Why should we trust you?' and 'Will the PM take critical questions from the Indian Press?' while smugly waving Norway’s #1 Press Freedom ranking like it’s moral superiority. This is peak European colonial privilege dressed as journalism. A reporter from a tiny oil-rich homogeneous nation barges into a joint presser with the leader of the world’s largest democracy and demands a gotcha moment. No cultural intelligence. Zero self-awareness. Pure bad-faith narrative engineering to paint India as authoritarian for clicks back home. In doing so she is doing a great disservice to Norway, to the people of Norway, and to her own Government which has just bestowed the highest civilian medal in Norway upon Prime Minister Modi. Let’s flip the script and dig deeper into Norway’s own human rights rap sheet they conveniently ignore while lecturing Bharat: 1. Indigenous Sámi people are still fighting for land rights in their own ancestral territories. Norway pushes mining, wind farms, and oil extraction on Sámi lands without genuine free, prior, and informed consent classic cultural erasure the UN has repeatedly slammed. 2. Barnevernet (child welfare services) has a notorious record of forcibly removing children from minority, immigrant, and religious families, including several Indian families. Multiple European Court of Human Rights cases against Norway for violating family life under Article 8. 3. Prisons and solitary confinement feature excessive isolation and high suicide rates in pre-trial detention. The Council of Europe’s Anti-Torture Committee keeps flagging Norway for cruel, inhuman treatment. 4. Discrimination includes ethnic profiling by police, rising hate crimes against Roma, and immigrants, and domestic violence stats that Amnesty and others keep highlighting. The Global South and vibrant democracies like India - with 1.4 billion people, 22 official languages, every major religion, and the world’s biggest democratic elections - are not beholden to these condescending and disingenuous lessons from a country whose entire population is smaller than Delhi. The Indian Constitution guarantees rights since 1950. The Indian media is loud, chaotic, and free, as they should be in any vibrant democracy. The Indian PM engages the Indian press extensively. Let's be honest. This wasn’t journalism. It was performative superiority from someone whose country still hasn’t reckoned with its Viking-to-oil-rich hypocrisy. A pointed question for Ms Svendsen: before questioning India’s trust, should Norway not first clean its own house? India gave the world yoga, zero, and vaccines to the Global South during COVID, while championing developing nations. Lectures from oil wealth ring hollow. Share this wide - the narrative merchants hate facts. FACTS >>> NARRATIVES #ModiInNorway #ExposeHypocrisy #NorwayHRViolations #IndiaStandsTall #GlobalSouthRising 🇮🇳

London. 1878. A teenage Rabindranath watches a curious spectacle unfold in drawing rooms and gathering halls of the Empire. Not Englishmen mocking Indians.
Indians mocking Indians. Some had barely stepped onto European soil before beginning their performance.
They laughed at their own people. Their own accents. Their own customs. Their own complexion. Their own civilization. Tagore noticed the pattern with piercing clarity in Europe Probashir Patro. He compared certain expatriate Indians to comic “nautch” performers - caricaturing fellow countrymen to harvest laughter and approval from foreign audiences. The subtext was painfully obvious: “Please don’t mistake me for the natives.” Nearly 150 years later, the stage has changed.
The psychology has not. Today the performance happens on television studios, Ivy League panels, podcasts and social media timelines. The modern entitled dynast or globally certified intellectual often discovers that the fastest route to elite applause abroad is not explaining India, but apologizing for it. Psychology has names for this condition:
internalized inferiority, colonial mentality, outgroup validation seeking. Frantz Fanon would later call it the fractured mind of the colonized. Neuroscience explains another layer: the human brain is wired to seek social acceptance and reward. In colonial societies, generations subconsciously learned that ridicule of one’s roots earned faster acceptance from dominant power circles than pride in them. Eventually the performance stops being strategy. It becomes identity. That is why some people abroad almost seem offended when India succeeds.
A stronger civilization threatens the hierarchy on which their borrowed moral superiority rests. But Tagore’s observation carried another lesson too.
Do not hate such people.
Pity them. A tree ashamed of its own roots can never truly stand tall. Civilizations mature not when they become incapable of criticism - but when they stop requiring foreign applause to believe in their own worth. The Empire that once hosted those soirées is gone.
The psychological residue still lingers in a few drawing rooms and timelines. Tagore saw them in 1878.
We still see them today. #RabindranathTagore #EuropeProbashirPatro #CivilizationalState #DecoloniseTheMind #IndicCivilization #India #Psychology #ColonialMindset #SoftPower #MentalColonisation

We as a nation must take pride in this... 1. 1000s of years back when the world knew only violence to survive and in philosophy, India started large scale NON VIOLENCE movement in behaviour and in food also. 2. Lord Mahavir in particular started it and no wonder that India is the Veg Capital of the world and of Non Violence philosophy. #MahatmaGandhi #अहिंसा_परमधर्म #जियो_और_जीने_दो 3. #Iran and #Ukraine war and Islamic terrorism as going on for years are example of violence ridden world and its impact. Stronger, humane, unified framework” sounds reassuring—on paper. But unity cannot be built on one-sided pathways. If #CAPFofficers are expected to rise from the ground, earn every stripe, and prove leadership through field realities— then why does #leadership for others still arrive from the top? A truly fair system would make deputation a two-way street— where opportunity, exposure, and command are shared equally, not selectively. Because leadership is not a designation, it is lived experience. And until that experience is demanded equally from all, this “reform” risks looking less like unity… and more like imbalance dressed as policy. By the way, did we just forget— those with a #colonialmindset will only celebrate the “positives” in this? They won’t see how #CAPF officers’ rightful space and growth are being quietly squeezed— they’ll only notice how their #ownfutureprospects look brighter in this setup. When fairness is replaced by convenience, and imbalance is packaged as reform— of course it will look “progressive”… just not for everyone. #not expected this from an #ips #whostudieddayandnight only to support what's #unethical
