#OUB329 Week 11 I realised that #Dissent isn't always the enemy - it can actually benefit #Leadership through #ConstructiveDissent. It stimulates critical reflection and innovation when voices are heard in an open and respectful environment. @B329Leadership @MargaretMi9070

#OUB329 Week 11 has made me realise good things can come from conflict. I do feel uncomfortable with discord in my workplace… BUT I need to remember… provoking a fight can also provoke communication, new ideas and strategies.. #constructivedissent @ClaireA_OU

#B329 WK11. The complicity of his flock in harbouring a danger within can prove more perilous to a shepherd than the overt presence of a wolf. To avoid such pitfalls, the shepherd must encourage #ConstructiveDissent and not be over-reliant on herding. @B329Leadership @gricedOU

WK11/A #OUB329 #ConstructiveDissent is only effective if the powerless followers’ opinions & opposing views are heard & recognised by those who are in power or position. @B329Leadership @ProfVG1

#OUB329 Wk11 • What causes conflict in changing environments? • Is the task of leadership always to reduce conflict? • How do leadership practices and strategies encourage constructive outcomes from conflict? @B329Leadership #ConstructiveDissent

Any US diplomat who endorses forcing democratic #Artsakh under genocidal Azerbaijan, condemning innocents to certain destruction, will surely advance their career & post-retirement prospects but at the cost of their soul & our collective American conscience #ConstructiveDissent

Wk 11 - Conflict uncovers different perspectives, this can lead to innovation, positively challenge norms and ultimately foster a productive working environment. Conflict is inevitable but it doesn’t need to have a negative outcome. #constructivedissent #OUB329

I've always thought as conflict being negative and something to avoid my any means necessary. However this week has given me strategies to handle conflict turning it into a positive. #constructivedissent allows us to share views without fighting. #OUB329WK11 @njb567

#OUB329 perhaps the crisis in the NHS needs more #constructivedissent, leaders that speak the harsh truth when so many bury their heads in the sand... @Barry_Verdin @glendab329

"Here we are, yet again, in the position of NHS patients enduring untold miseries, frontline staff trying to tell the truth about patient harm, and political leaders with the power to do something about those harms denying their existence." @doctor_oxford bmj.com/content/380/bmj.p28

Difficult conversations are often part and parcel of #leadership and life. However, Wk11 of @B329Leadership explored #constructivedissent and taught me that if a disagreement is expressed constructively it can lead to positive outcomes rather than negative ones. @kristina_risley

Wk 11: #Conflict in the form of #Disagreement & especially #Dissension has generally been seen as undesirable in the workplace. But, it’s possible for a good #Leader to use these constructively to create positive outcomes for everyone. #ConstructiveDissent #OUB329 @B329Leadership

#constructivedissent is a useful leadership practise that allows people to express their disagreement in a constructive way. To attempt to bring positive outcomes out of conflict those involved need to listen, speak up and attempt to understand all perspectives @NickWOpenUni

Week 11 - Conflict can tease out different perspectives. When individuals are encouraged to express opinions in a constructive way, this can positively challenge norms and result in favourable outcomes #constructivedissent @Barry_Verdin #OUB329 @B329Leadership

#B329WK11 This week I learnt about #constructivedissent. I want not aware of this topic and I believe it should be a core of many #meetings. I think that being #positive while disagree on a discussion is challenging. @B329Leadership @gricedOU

Also another interesting thing I found was that #activistLeadership usually cultivates diversity and don’t see differences as a negative thing, instead they use it as a drive and momentum it created. Reminded me a lot of #constructiveDissent

#OUB329 WK11 - #constructivedissent is positive for organisations. In order to create this environment, #leaders need to encourage debate and discussion. Previously I would have been reluctant to do this but I now see how a culture of constructive dissent should be embraced.

.@B329Leadership #OUB329 Wk11 As someone who avoids #conflict these ideas encourage me to take part in debate. The idea of #ConstructiveDissent is an attractive one because it suggests that progress can be made through disagreement and ensures stakeholders are heard.
