I realised that #Dissent isn't always the enemy - it can actually benefit #Leadership through #ConstructiveDissent. It stimulates critical reflection and innovation when voices are heard in an open and respectful environment.

I do feel uncomfortable with discord in my workplace…
BUT
I need to remember…

Wk 11 - Conflict uncovers different perspectives, this can lead to innovation, positively challenge norms and ultimately foster a productive working environment. Conflict is inevitable but it doesn’t need to have a negative outcome.

Also another interesting thing I found was that #activistLeadership usually cultivates diversity and don’t see differences as a negative thing, instead they use it as a drive and momentum it created. Reminded me a lot of #constructiveDissent

#OUB329 WK11 - #constructivedissent is positive for organisations. In order to create this environment, #leaders need to encourage debate and discussion. Previously I would have been reluctant to do this but I now see how a culture of constructive dissent should be embraced.

As someone who avoids #conflict these ideas encourage me to take part in debate. The idea of #ConstructiveDissent is an attractive one because it suggests that progress can be made through disagreement and ensures stakeholders are heard.
