Yesterday, we had the privilege of participating in a one-day Youth Engagement on Digital and Environmental Sustainability for a Green Economy. Organized by the Ministry of Environment, under the leadership of Dr. Iniobong Abiola-Awe, Director of the Department of Climate, this event was held in collaboration with the European Union (@EUinNigeria ) and AREAi’s Center for Digital Development and Innovation Research (CDDIR). The forum brought together key stakeholders, partners, specialists, and passionate young people working strategically to promote digital sustainability for a greener future. Goodwill messages were shared by representatives from the Ministry of Youth Development; Communications, Innovation & Digital Economy, The Presidency, the National Council on Climate Change, and CDDIR. On behalf of our Global Director, Prince Gideon Olanrewaju (@LanreShaper ), Omoniyi Lawson (@filiuslaw ), Managing Partner of CDDIR, emphasized the vital role young people play in driving sustainable change. The panel, breakout and pitch sessions were incredibly insightful.
