"Wow, this indoor dining is showing 475 ppm, I feel safe!" 1st question to ask, what did it read outdoors? "Oh 400 ppm..." Can it read below 400 ppm? If not, I'd highly question the quality & if & when it was calibrated. 👇

In this graph, Aranet4 is in many places 300 ppm higher than the LiCor, but the scatter plot above shows it can be highly effective in finding the delta between outdoors vs indoors and is an excellent sensor finding decay rate. By Prof. @jljcolorado 👇 medium.com/@jjose_19945/how-…

Even if your sensor is say 300 higher ppm than another, knowing its index (e.g. outside) is what matters most. (as long as scatter plot & orthogonal distance regression linear fit between a 'lab grade' standard sensor has an R² = 0.9 like what Prof. @djpagonis should be ok.)

Whether one is high or low is not as important as taking the difference of outside vs indoor. That should always be top of mind. & if a sensor cannot read lower than 400 ppm, you should throw it in the rubbish!
