Finally, I took the weekend to solve a real pain in my daily work routines,
I work in a dynamic environment, and I need to change the tools and apps I use depending on the type of work I am doing.
For example, when I am working on a Java project for my company, I use a lot of pgAdmin, zoom, etc.,
But when working on my Laravel project, I use PhpStorm, DBngin with Sequel Pro, etc.
When switching between projects, I always had the problem of needing to sort my Mac dock to fit my current use.
So, I am proud to present the first macOS app that I built:
Dock Manager (Yes, I need to find a better name for it ๐
)
I can set presets for my dock and load them in one click.
I can set the dock to the desired state and then click Save current dock to create the preset. I can also add and edit apps inside the Dock Manager app.
I am planning to launch this app in the next few days after I will figure out how to do it ๐
Let me know if this app can help you either,
I can see how this app can be used by developers who also make YouTube videos. When they edit, they use one set of tools, and when programming or filming, they use another.
Let me know about the commands. I would love to make it worthwhile for others with the same problem.
