Spent the whole day researching what would be the best approach:
Distribution of your Mac App through
- the Mac App Store
- my own channel with LP, payment, delta updates, binary download etc
From marketing perspective it would be the same, because you have to send potential customers on the landing page on your own anyway.
If I would do it my own, I would save the 15%/30% Apple fee and would be free in deploying updates with new features whenever I want. Without going through the review process again and again.
What do you prefer?
Do you trust the App Store more, than self distributed apps?
