Have always enjoyed geography topics - country names, locations, flags, etc.
Happy to see new countries in the men’s FIFA World Cup such as Curaçao, playing Germany right now, to help me remember more flags.

Fab. As a local maphead I’m equally fascinated by how the bridge landed on and impacted the narrow slices of both banks. This 1850 map shows little space on Freeman’s lane, that now forms part of Tower Bridge Rd, and between Tower of London and St kath’s dock. cc @ClimatiseChris
Do you recognise this landmark? 👀
This photograph shows the construction of Tower Bridge in London in the late 19th century.
The bridge was built between 1886 and 1894 using 11,000 tonnes of steel, and it was decorated with an enormous 22,000 litres of paint.
