They'll go back to being software engineers/coding since there will be so much AI slopcode to fix 💀 Honestly, not a bad revolving door career-wise, all thanks to incompetent CEOs

Cannot wait to get cancelled for my AI tweets when I un retire and go back to slopcode.
the worst part of getting fired was the hr lady butchering the delivery while reading my tweets

@LinkedIn @LinkedInHelp @StateOfLinkedIn - sick state selector functionality! Seems living in “select” is the only option. That’s not annoying at all. #vibecoding #slopcode #UXfail #linkedin #microsoft

Well, Fable is the first model that seems to give me genuine structural improvements on slopcode. I'm watching right now as it excavates deep abstractions and restructures the codebase around them - no other model does this.

An important question I've been keeping an eye on: will models ever be able to rescue slop projects? Until today, prompting models to deslop slopcode just gave... higher definition slop.

Your point can also apply to humans. And part of the reason why so many man made games suck and aren't performant is because project leaders don't have the domain experience to push back on slopcode, man-made or otherwise.

I’m committing grave sins by making Claude slopcode Rust or Python implementations of random TLS extensions/RFC’s that literally no fucking sane library uses. It keeps asking me to stop making it roll its own crypto, but I am having fun here.

Because programming is also an artform and a skill to be appreciated. Also, AI slopcode is generally unmaintainable, and if slopgames have issues, the dev may not know how to even address it Or build on it for new games.

People can code just better And given the slopcode that windows has delt with and AI deleting entire databases? I am fine without that

pov: a true superintelligence will not write millions of lines of nodeJS python slopcode for you a true superintelligence will rewrite your entire company in a few thousand lines, using a dialect of Haskell it invented for that specific purpose
Programming has already changed dramatically. On my best days - I literally feel IO bandwidth limited managing the concurrent threads. As the models get better the level of abstraction will keep going up - very soon the models will only come to us for hard calls. Eventually - they won't come to us at all. LOC is obviously a terrible metric, but is correlated

You have to wait a good 30 sec for Twitter DM to fully load. Even before LLMs, people were shipping slopcode, now, with actual slopcode, they are able to go much faster. As users, we just have to take it. No one is going to vibecode alternatives because people don't actually just do things

This AI wild west of slopcode is actually the best time ever to be a designer who can also build great websites.

Oh no you get to spend time with your family and children during the day while he has the royal privilege of being zogcog number 37,849 on the slopcode line at globocorp. What injustice! Shut the fuck up you ungrateful harpy.
We need to talk about the grief of losing your entire identity to motherhood while the man you married gets to keep his hobbies, his freedom, and his career completely uninterrupted.

No, they actually haven't. They stated that Iwata helped out with programming the game, specifically the compression algorithm for the graphics. People also speculate that he helped to refactor the slopcode, though.

@cormachayden_ says they have 100ks of products in the app. Clearly they didn't review them. So they just import ingredients and AI slopcode sorts them into arbitrary scores, all behind a paywall. How is this not an open and shut fraud and defamation case? Who's going to do it?
