The Bible in Genesis 8:22 says that as long as the earth exists, daytime and nighttime, summer and winter, sea time and harvest will never fail or cease to continue happening. In 8:21 God says that he will never allow all living things to be destroyed or to die out on the earth, like they did during the great flood.
Therefore, there is zero NEED, no need at all, for humanity to become a multiplanet species “for survival.” God has promised human survival (and comfort) for as long as this rock we live on exists.
God is not slow to fulfill his promises of the second coming of Jesus and the future of the universe. Instead, God is patient towards us, wanting everyone to be saved, because he’s not willing for anyone to be lost to hell. God wants everyone to receive grace and repentance. Human history seems to arc slowly because God is putting meticulous effort and excellence into His efforts to rescue every human possible.
There’s another reason why we can go to space, and that’s for the pure joy of it, and the blessing, personal individual freedom for members of mankind (commonly known as humans), and opportunity it may bring.
Jesus Christ is the maker of Heaven, Outer Space, and the Earth. When we look at the universe, we can see that God made it. The Bible says that the heavens declare the glory of God, and the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Seven times in the Old Testament the Bible says that God is stretching out the universe and causing it to expand. That was invisible to the human eyes of ancient men, but the authors of the Bible were inspired by God and knew that God was expanding the universe. Ancient people criticized the Bible, saying of the Bible was false, because they couldn’t see the expansion of the universe with their eyes. But modern science has vindicated the Bible, as it always does with enough passage of time. When we see spiritual, supernatural, paranormal, and weird things happening, that is not evidence of a simulation, that is evidence that we were created by God. And the only God that stands up to rigorous scientific scrutiny and criticism, is the Bible God. Just ask Lee Strobel. If you want to talk about simulations, you should ask Pastor Dan Duvall in Texas… just like there is a real God, there is a real Satan, and he does try to put people through situations of confusion and torment.
The Bible does say we will get to the stars. And it gives a two-fold possibility for how that will turn out. If mankind goes to the stars and is pleasing to God, God has promised that we will never become orphaned or stranded or isolated from our home world (a lá LAST EXILE, or Five Star Story). He promises that he will always bring us back “from the farthest star,” and ensure transportation methods will be in place to get us back, so that we can return to our home planet and worship Him here. I have the reference for you if you ever want to see it. It is in the Bible and I know where. Earth is the holy place and the high place of the universe. It is the footstool of God’s feet, it is the footstool of God’s kingdom. The whole universe is vast and wild and beautiful, but this planet is more special than all of it because this is the holy planet, where God has chosen to put His presence; where we humanity can have fellowship, togetherness, and friendship with Him.
The other possibility is a warning: if mankind goes to the stars and becomes completely wicked and evil, then the Bible says that God Himself will drag us down from the highest heavens and bring us back down to the Earth for punishment we would lose our star empire, and God would bring every human back to square one.
God seems to encourage going to far stars, but not attempting to warp into a higher dimensional realm or to use technology to try to enter the Spiritual 3rd Heaven.
If you want to know the answer to aliens, go ask Dan Duvall the Texas pastor. You can also go ask Gary Steerman and his Prophecy Watchers. They will give you the right answer.
