Since the beginning of my #podcast running under the title "The History of the #Metacrisis" I had the great pleasure of having been honored with the participation of some of the strongest minds and keen observers of our predicament. Namely:

6. @remblance_erin , an Australian advocate for #degrowth with a very strong pen, who has co-founded and runs the (re)Biz network and currently works to reach the "social tipping point" in seek of a post-capitalism world
7. @NoraBateson , head of the Bateson Institute, multi-writer and conceiver of the notion of #warmdata, whose latest book runs under the title "Combining"
8. @RogerHallamCS21 , the English "rebel with a cause", co-creator of #ExtinctionRebellion and #JustStopOil, writer of several books, an activist with prison-time for his beliefs
9. Hakan Bulgurlu, the CEO of Beko, former Acerlik, under the banner of which one finds iconic brands like Brandt and Hitachi, to name just a couple, whose sustainability mission drove him to the peak of Mount Everest and to the South Pole, and whose book has the provocative title "A Mountain To Climb"

11. Caroline Chubb Calderon, a European living in the USA, consultant on organizational change, and founder of the Hello Humanity network

The perfect example of #WarmData. All the nuances in human interactions that are essential to authentic communication with integrity.
We have been so conditioned to manipulate our messages to get what we want from others that it takes some effort to identify when it happens.

I watched a video of myself being interviewed, with the sound off. And I noticed that I looked different from most of the people I was used to watching in "talking head" format.
And so I went and watched them with the sound off.
And I realized that psychopaths and narcissists and machiavellians and grifters of all stripes have uncanny valley body language and facial expressions, and they've learned to use the content of their words, and the tone of their voice, to distract people from those tells.
And then I thought, and this is just a guess, but I thought, "Hey, maybe the uncanny valley response isn't for detecting things that look human but aren't. Maybe it's for detecting people who are faking normal human emotions when inside they feel nothing but ambition, contempt, and rage."

As far as I can tell, regeneration involves two moves: a) having the humility to recognize and deeply appreciate nature's intelligence, and b) having the gumption to try and figure out how to steward that intelligence

You might dig this song about how injustice is inherent in the abstraction that affords large institutions and quantitative models, even as economies of scale and efficient encoding yield remarkable collective benefits...kind of an anthem for @NoraBateson's #WarmData, mutualistic human-scale decision making, and the rights of the uncounted/uncountable.

Processing a lot of emotions about what it really takes to regenerate at the scale of entire continents -- the level of systemic collapse of globalized institutions that will be involved and the amount of shared dreaming that must arise within conscientious human communities.
