This was interesting to me! I am not an activist! I am trying to be a voice for Iranian since I can verify a lot of them first handedly. I also see Islam as a danger to humanity, again from first hand experience and years of forcefully studying it in Iran’s schools. As a result my account is not showing up to others by algorithm, since Iranian regime did what it could do, which honestly I like it since it’s a quite experience of social network. I still can see the echos of my posts, but with minimum likes and retweets of my posts.

But again, since you’re a social activist debunking QM, I’m not sure that I didn’t just waste my time

Today is the official release day for Android 17. We've already fully ported GrapheneOS to Android 17 and are in the process of pushing the code to our public repositories. We're building a final official release based on Android 16 QPR2 today and we'll do an initial Android 17 release tomorrow. We've already tested the Android 17 port of GrapheneOS on the Pixel 6a, 7, 7a, 8, 10a, 10 and 10 Pro Fold. It will be possible for people to start building and testing it themselves later today once we finish pushing the code. We'll start the process of public testing for official releases tomorrow.

I found out the other day that any compression tool can be contorted to do language modeling. Turns out gzip can generate text that somewhat *resembles* Shakespeare. Short write up linked below

It’s nonsense. It’s logically consistent nonsense in a certain class of set theories. But it’s nonsense.
One of the most beautiful ideas in mathematics is: some infinities are bigger than others. Though it sounds strange, it is far from obvious. In the 1870s, Georg Cantor proved that the set of real numbers is larger than the set of natural numbers. No matter how you try to pair them, some real numbers are always left unmatched. Even more surprising, from any infinite set, we can construct a larger one. In other words: for every infinity, there exists a greater infinity. In 1900, David Hilbert praised this discovery, saying: “Nothing will remove us from the paradise that Cantor has created for us.”

This is why the supporters of @elonmusk work hard to "defend him." Because it's not about Elon. He's a symbol of progress.

List of politicians’ fantasy that any law they pass can be implemented, where I experienced in my life: - Iran’s regime have mandatory hijab law - Iran’s Internet control/censorship - Other countries’ sanction laws against Iran Non of these are implementable in the real life. Moral lesson is don’t vote politicians based on their language skills and how much convincing they are. Choose them based on their engineering/building experience in the past. If Iranian would have followed this advice they’d not be pro-Islamic regime 47 years ago, since Khomeini had never built a single thing in his life.

just never forget that the devs who yap about AI being the best thing ever all day never really knew how to program well to begin with. They are idiots telling you that the world is solved (charitable read) or worse, they are selling you something and are attempt to deceive you. This is why we see the same cycle every time. Opus 4 = God's gift to humanity to OMG its utter trash within a few months. The same thing happens with every model release because these people don't even know what dev is. They are larpers. I believe this is what Geohotz meant when he: "I’m calling it now, the adoption of AI agents into software development will be one of the most costly mistakes in the field’s history."
All the devs whining about fable being banned need to go hit the gym and stfu

All tests are made up, including the IQ test. In the end we need tests to hire people, so we should integrate education and testing with the hiring processes as I mentioned before in link below. x.com/hadilq/status/20627159…

IQ doubters want you to believe there’s no difference in “intellectual horsepower” between a physicist and a McDonald’s worker. Absolutely wild.

One of the most popular ideas in physics right now is something named “ER = EPR.” This theory has it that entangled particles are actually linked by tiny, tiny wormholes. Recently, a group of physicists tested the idea. I've had a look. youtube.com/watch?v=rHgaSPzT…

In my book some people are not US citizens, but trustworthy people, even outside of US. US, and other countries, must be able to build trust with them. I am saying this as a person who lost a job last month due to security concerns, even though I am clear to work with banks! I am not even a Canadian citizen yet, but I am trustworthy. Bureaucracy should be built for humans, not forcing humans to fit themselves into bureaucracy! Bureaucracy in the current societies is getting so bold that is acting as a selection mechanism to make its own generic pool! We should push back! x.com/MTSlive/status/2065945…

Iranian-Jewish Doctor Drops Truth Bomb No Feminist Will Touch: Dr. Sheila Nazarian: "I studied Islam classes while I was at Columbia University, because I wanted to know what it says in the Quran that made my family have to escape Iran under gunfire, by border police. I've read the Quran. I know what it says to do to Jews in the Quran, and no one can deny it to me because I studied it. Shariah law is not compatible with the West. Women are worth half as much. Women need their husband’s permission to travel outside the country or go anywhere. Women can be stoned. This is why my family got me out of Iran under the Islamic regime." I couldn't agree more with her. Shariah law is simply not compatible with any non-Muslim country.
