Honestly this answer discounts one critical lesson I learned while teaching data science:
It is hard to know what questions you can ask of data. It is even harder to ask good questions of data.

Perhaps the worst thing about dashboards is how you can’t explore / play around with the data and ask questions. There’s no way to “inspect source” to see where data comes from or what it means (often more poorly documented than a DB).
They’re dynamic, but going only one way.

That said, people in open source communities tend to expect everything to be free, which I just don't think is fair. This idea makes it only possible for people who are either independently wealthy or have jobs that allow them to create free materials to do so.

The focus should be on understanding data, not performing statistical tests. Visualisation, summarisation, and data manipulation often poorly covered in favour of the theory behind 100-year-old null hypothesis significance tests. @RiinuOts
