I might be wrong. But isn't this legalese for "When you bring information into Firefox, it's always allowed to use that info on websites you visit"?

Just a reminder to everybody: If a website compares your new password with your old one, the web browser has to send a plain text password instead of a hashed one. This is a security issue.

Now, about the post you QRT'd. It's assumed that you have to have plain text versions of passwords to compare them; this is untrue. What these websites do (I hope) is that they store the old passwords' *hashes*. The password is hashed and then checked against that list of hashes.

Maybe the website says that the passwords can't be "similar" but can't actually check for similarity and it can only check for identity? But if it can check for similarity, then yeah, that's a Flaw and should have been rectified yesterday.

NES is awesome. It's more stable than libc ABI (You need a time machine to change it). Games that work on it work on the NES (duh). They work on Linux and FreeBSD through Mesen. They work on Windows via Mesen. They work on DOS via Nesticle. The NES is the most crossplatform API.
