After years of experience in joining in DePIN, and contributing to build like on tokenomics of other projects, I decided to move this important step into Co-Founder & Creator of @HaLoWaveNetwork with the hope of improving DePIN's current challenging situation. The DePIN sector is facing a harsh reality: “taking an existing good Web2 business model and simply adding a token to create a global network” is no longer enough. Monetization is proving more and more difficult because just replicating a good Web2 is not always enough. DePIN must be ambitious and completely bring something new. We need to build infrastructure that doesn't even exist in Web2 yet. This way, the network we build becomes so critical that its monetization and utility rival the traditional Web2 sector, not just Web3. It’s something different and difficult but that’s exactly what @leewalker87 and I are doing with HaLoWave. We are building the world's first global Wi-Fi HaLow network 🌊 While the protocol is still flying under the radar for most, industry experts know what is coming: over 100 million HaLow IoT devices are projected to be connected in the coming years. Two things must change in this space: 1. Tokenomics: Projects need to stop being greedy. We are structuring our tokenomics to allocate >50% of the network directly to the community. 2. This feature allows you to enter the Solana wallet address of your host (the person who will install the miner) and automatically distribute rewards based on a chosen percentage. The host can then log into console.halowave.io to view reward distribution and miner activity. This was a highly requested feature by the DePIN community, and we are happy to provide it 💪 3. IoT Sensor Integration (Preview) We have activated the IoT Sensor section within the Console. This will be a critical section for registering upcoming IoT sensors that are enabled to connect directly to the HaLoWave Network without intermediaries.
