Another helpful book to learn about macOS development with Swift & SwiftUI is the recently published »Building macOS Apps with SwiftUI« from @imgracehuang. I recommend to download the code samples from @github, copying them from the eBook is a bit tedious. A bargain for 9,99$!
Thanks to the wonderful book »macOS by Tutorials« written by @trozware and published by @kodecodev I am slowly understanding how to develop a modern Mac application using Swift and SwiftUI. I can really recommend the book, no magic happens, everything is explained in detail.

Kudos to the folks from OpenCore Legacy Patcher. Was able to update my parents 2015 MacBook from 10.11 (last supported OS from Apple) to Ventura and it runs great! No fiddling required, their patcher is super simple. Take that, planned obsolescence. dortania.github.io/OpenCore-…
My buddy @catlan was overwhelmed, having too many boring tasks for @kaleidoscopeapp on his list, so he implemented a little tool he’s been wanting to have. Would only take a few hours, he said. Great joke… Here’s a first version, upvote to cheer him up! producthunt.com/posts/gifboa…
So much juicy drama! (Apple had to roll back their ray tracing graphics chip because of mis-planning because of brain-drain) theinformation.com/articles/…
And @gruber agrees. So much of the current regulatory pressure, tension with developers, and other issues boil down to just how important that revenue has become to Apple’s stock price. But at what cost? Probably more than they realize.
More and more startups embrace the idea of the “product engineer” and I think it’s a great thing.
When small enough, the best person to make many product decisions - often within a prototype - is the software engineer building it.
Easiest done when the founder is also one.
It was @GergelyOrosz who inspired me to write about this. In fact, I've known what I wanted to express for a long time already.
But I didn't have the right name yet. Then I came across "The Product Engineer".

"Germany has been...far too naively trusting when it came to its economic relationship with China. Just as German banks were too trusting of American banks...Just as Germany was too trusting of...Russian gas.
All in all, I’d say Germany needs to be a little less trusting."
