Back from my first bike packraft trip! We took the Concord Coach from Portland to Bangor, pedaled through the Bangor City Forest, paddled some fun rapids on the Penobscot River, and then spend the night at a beautiful free campsite. Thanks to packraftme.com/
To fully realize the tremendous potential of e-bikes (and regular bikes) to reduce VMT we need safe, protected, and well-connected bike infrastructure. We can build it quickly and improve incrementally if we shift our priorities. For much less $ than we spend to expand car infra.

I think the threat of thunderstorms scared away some riders but still a reasonably good turnout volunteering at the Thompson's Point bike valet last night. Fun to get to handle such a wide range of bikes up close and chat with the Portland bike community.
