The longest talking filibuster ever was in 1964 when Democratic Senators spoke for 60 days continuously to block the passage of the Civil Rights Act
Debate was forced. It lasted 60 days. The bill passed.
By contrast, if Sen. Thune (majority leader) simply allows *silence* to block the passage of the SAVE America act, he is failing 84% of Americans
This is the most important item on the legislative agenda, bar none.
Even if it takes 60 days, it's worth it to secure elections and ensure only American citizens vote
Thune can require a talking filibuster rather than a silent one without **any** rules changes

I’ve had ENOUGH of excuses from Republicans in Congress. Enforcing a talking filibuster does NOT nuke the filibuster. It RESTORES it. So, stop stalling. Make the Democrats STAND and talk for days about why they’re against one of the most popular bills in modern history.

President Trump should summon Leader Thune to the White House and hold a national press conference so Thune can explain why SENATE REPUBLICANS are refusing to pass the Save America Act.
Last week, @HouseGOP passed the SAVE America Act to implement voter ID requirements and strengthen election security.
Now the Senate should pass it so President Trump can sign it into law.
