Dear lordships, - 100 RTI users have been killed for exposing corruption & thousands attacked and harassed- SC is silent. - The Whistleblowers Protection Act passed in 2014 not implemented till date- SC is silent. But every few days the SC berates RTI activists and calls them names- cockroaches, busy bodies, and today the Court is asking who are citizens to monitor public works! Perhaps your lordships need to be reminded that in a democracy citizens are sovereign and tax payers have a right to know how their money is spent. Courts should deal with individual cases on merit without passing derogatory remarks about those who hold power to account.
The Supreme Court today(May 15) denied anticipatory bail to an RTI activist accused of obstructing a public servant in connection with the construction of a road. Read more: zurl.co/bGz7E #SupremeCourt

90% of Indians have per capita income of less than most sub-Saharan African countries And most of the "middle class" is one health emergency away from joining the bottom 90%.
A Government for the middle class… It is the NDA Government’s privilege to be working towards fulfilling the aspirations of our middle class. They have contributed to nation-building in countless ways. Over the last decade, governance has increasingly focused on improving the quality of life of ordinary citizens. Our efforts are about easier access to opportunities, better infrastructure, improved public services, affordable healthcare, quality education, cleaner cities and reduced burdens in everyday life. #12YearsOfSakshamMiddleClass

I love that students are still making statements, still walking out, still talking about this - when it feels everyone, everything has “moved on” I’m glad to see this. Not because it materially changes any realities for Palestinians (and Lebanese, Iranians, etc) but because it forces everyone who witnesses it to remember the on-going, unending crimes of our country against entire peoples.
BREAKING: Stanford University graduates staged a walkout during Google CEO Sundar Pichai’s keynote address at commencement Sunday. The walkout was organized by Students for Justice in Palestine and No Tech for Apartheid as a protest against Google’s contracts with the IDF, Dept. of Homeland Security, and ICE.

I am genuinely curious. Are these delusional, idiots or just shameless to pretend they don’t know how much they’re ridiculed in India & internationally?

WHY are we letting Israeli soldiers destroy every inch of Palestine? Is it ''a war''? Would you accept others do this to you and your home? Let's stop this genocide together. Diplomats Politicians Judges Police officers Journalists Citizens Anyone can and must take action.
This is Beit Lahia in northern Gaza. Just now, Israel blew up homes and demolished what remained of other buildings across the city, reducing more of it to rubble.

The worst part is him saying the strike on the elementary school in Minab (that killed 168 schoolchildren and teachers) "is a use case that doesn't even violate our red lines."

Trust in the electoral process going up in flames! There have been serious questions raised about the conduct of elections in West Bengal. It’s not yet 45 days since elections took place in the state - there is still time left to file petitions challenging the results. Now that the EVMs have been destroyed in the fire, how will the Courts satisfy themselves that there was no wrongdoing?
