Every day, the headlines sound the same. Another killing. Another kidnapping. Another family displaced. Another community living in fear. And slowly, if we are not careful, we begin to grow numb to it all. As we pray, we also call for decisive action from our leaders at every level. The level of insecurity across Nigeria has become unbearable. People should be able to travel, sleep, work, worship, and live without constant fear. #SayNoToInsecurity

On Saturday at the @LifePointeGL Free Medical Outreach, I witnessed the life-saving power of preventive care. One beneficiary came in with dangerously high blood pressure, extremely elevated blood sugar, and other serious health concerns. What happened next was remarkable. One of our partners, CedarCare Hospital (@_cedarcare), had provided an ambulance as part of their support for the outreach. Their medical team responded immediately, transported her to their facility, placed her on oxygen, and began treatment without any discussion about money. The focus was simple: save a life. This is what healthcare should look like. Thank you, Dr. Kalu, for building an institution that puts compassion before profit, and for partnering with us to reach those who might otherwise go without care. Early detection saves lives. Please check your numbers regularly. Thank you so much @fikayobenson01 @pistisfoundation @SynlabNG @hiltondentalng

If you want to protect your kidneys, the first places you can start from is knowing what your blood pressure or blood sugar levels are Let me explain, usually hypertension that is blood pressure above 140/90mmHg initially will have no symptoms, there is no way you would know.

I’m Stranded in Lagos guys I Need Your Support 🙏 Hi, my name is Esther Ubak. I came all the way from Akwa Ibom State to Lagos for an exhibition, full of hope and excitement, dreaming that this trip would open doors for my craft and creativity. I’m a startup without funding anywhere, and to make this trip possible, I had to borrow money from friends, gather materials, and cover my travel expenses, all with the hope that the exhibition would be a success. But things didn’t turn out as I expected. The exhibition didn’t go as planned, and now, I’m faced with the reality of having to refund every single amount I borrowed. I really need the support I can get right now. So here I am, still in Ajah, Lagos, with all the beautiful, handcrafted, upcycled pieces I brought along. I cannot go back home until they are sold, and every piece carries the love, time, and creativity I poured into it. Below this post are the products available for pickup, each with its price tag clearly displayed. So If you’re in Lagos and love unique art, this is your chance to grab something special. 📍 Location: Ajah, Lagos 📲 To order: Screenshot your favorite piece(s) and DM me on WhatsApp: 2347080501180 If you can’t afford a piece right now, you can still share this post, refer a friend, or invite someone who might love them. Your support, big or small really means the world and can help turn this setback into a blessing. 🙏

One of the things I took from "leaving the tarmac", the book by Aig of Access Bank fame, is the deliberate effort they put into training people. I also take inspiration from Zoho who train intensively and @markessien's HNG internship. It's, however, an expensive and painstaking venture. $15k per person in Access Bank's case. We've learnt this ourselves via our Wella Schools programme that has given free training to over 1,000 people in software engineering, design and product management. <10% finish the programme, and they've created a great pipeline of junior talent for us. We now want more managerial and operational talent, so we are working on a proper graduate trainee programme for health tech to create talent for the whole industry. We can't complain about the talent problem forever. We must invest in a pipeline to solve the talent issues over the long term.
tech people must think banks run the graduate training schools because they like to teach. talking about scarcity of talent after 10 years of ops lmao.

See baba... the good pay is even funding the Japa as well... Now the best you can get from people is 2 years. The is an enviromental problem where Talent will go to where is conducive. Those who have stayed back are pressed to leave daily...

Good Pay will help retain talent but at a point, you simply will not be able to compete with japa & international organizations. It’s why some are reducing standards like only 1st class, only chartered professionals etc. Some are even allowing those who relocated to work Remotely.

What utter disrespect! Na @markessien I blame for not really publicising the record of the @hnginternship program. When you factor in costs and scale, the HNG alum (company and the internship program) has by far the strongest "mafia per capita". it is a combination of the legacy of Andela, Jumia & Paystack. Unlike many programs, HNG Internship launched many people into the tech industry a large number also moved to global companies. Dem full Germany and Netherlands Keeping quiet about the sucess of a model is not humility, it blinds people from seeing what works doubling down on the methods. @TechCabal, @TechpointAfrica or @thecondia should do a story on them. You can start with the founder of Lemfi, Ridwan. BTW, all those that benefited from Mark and keep quiet when tweets like these come up (maybe cos you don't like his politics), are not doing the minimum expected.
Plis plis abeg don’t bring HNG here

My opinion: Sexual fulfillment is all about study and diligence; it is not about any magic thing like "sexual compatibility." Good sex comes from care, love, and unselfishness. The reason most religions discourage premarital sex is that comparison is the thief of joy. You can still have "strayed" before and still have a healthy sex life in marriage if you work at it. I have seen many arranged marriages work in other cultures, and they do because the topic of sex in marriage is not taboo, and it is the reason why texts like the Kama Sutra exist. Tantric Yoga and others as well. Sex in some cultures is not just about making babies but the purest act of love between couples, and they put in a lot of effort into studying how to get the best out of it. Christianity also needs something akin to the Kama Sutra for married couples and not something that looks like a school textbook. Maybe it exists, and I haven't found it yet. If not, this will be a good treatise to build.

This is evangelism in full display. I remember reading an article by Rick Warren when he said a former CEO of Adidas wanted to resign to be a full time evangelist/ministry and he said to him that could he reach more people as a CEO or as a pastor. He advised him to keep his job and influence and draw people to Christ with his role. Victor Glover is displaying evangelism on a large scale with his work. I am encouraging every Christian to use their skills/influence to draw people to Christ. Remember do your work as though you are doing it for Christ.

There’s a serious Lassa fever outbreak in Nigeria right now where 146 people have been confirmed dead in 11 weeks and there have been 582 confirmed cases. 25 doctors have been infected, and 3 have lost their lives. If you are reading this, please stay safe. This virus spreads through the urine or droppings of infected rats, or human-to-human contact. It starts like an ordinary fever, but it can quickly move to bleeding, a swollen face, and shock. ALWAYS: 1. Cover your food and pots tightly. 2. Block the holes where rats enter your house. 3. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap. 4. If you have a persistent fever, stop swallowing random drugs from the chemist. Go to the hospital immediately. Our health workers are at risk, and proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is life-saving. We cannot afford to lose more people to a preventable disease. Stay safe and retweet this to save a life today!
