By the grace of God, I am in my 7 years clean and sober. Now in my 5 years of full-time street ministry. I love the homeless and the addicted. When I was a teenage runaway I got involved with streetlife, gangs, jail, and homelessness. I graduated from the Teen Challenge drug addictions center and flew to Mexico City. Two years later I graduated with a diploma in Ministry in Spanish. My ministry is focused on the truth found in the Bible taught in all Christian Churches. I was dedicated and baptized in a Pentecostal church. My family has been a part of the Canadian Pentecostal church for three generations. ​ The good news of the Gospel is forgiveness of sin. The consequence of our sins is hell, a place of torment for eternity. The Father sent his only son, Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our sins. 🇲🇽❤️ Ministry Update from Sinaloa, Mexico ❤️🇲🇽 Last night I had the opportunity to catch up with my friends Rocío and Omar here in Sinaloa. It was a great evening of fellowship, encouragement, and talking about what God is doing in the lives of people battling addiction. Rocío has a heart for serving women in recovery and regularly visits treatment centers to encourage the ladies, cut their hair, and share the love of Jesus with them. Her compassion and dedication are making a real difference in many lives. Last year, through the generosity of ministry supporters, we were able to provide Bibles, host food outreaches, and distribute hygiene and sanitary products to women in treatment. It was a blessing to see lives touched with both practical help and the hope of the Gospel. We're now making plans to return to that same facility. Omar will be joining us for the outreach, and I'll be bringing copies of my book to give away, sharing my testimony, and bringing a message of hope and encouragement to those currently in recovery. Thank you to everyone who supports this ministry and helps make these outreaches possible. Every Bible, every meal, every book, and every act of kindness helps remind someone that they are loved, valued, and not forgotten. 🇲🇽❤️ Ministry Update from Mazatlán ❤️🇲🇽 Today I had the opportunity to reconnect with my good friend Pastor Luis for the first time on this trip, and it was such a blessing. Last year we traveled together to four different addiction recovery centers, preaching the Gospel, sharing our faith, praying with people, and providing food outreach. The pictue is of us today with my book and from last year. We're have made plans for our next outreach in addiction recover center, and Pastor Luis has also invited me to speak at the men's group next week. . I was also able to give Pastor Luis a copy of my book, The STREET: The Brother John Elving Story, and I've had a number of additional copies printed that we'll be handing out during our ministry activities. My prayer is that these books will encourage people who are struggling with addiction, family challenges, and difficult life circumstances, pointing them to the hope found in Jesus Christ. Tonight I'll be spending time with a couple of friends here in Mexico, Omar and Rocío, who serves by cutting hair for the girls in a recovery center. It's always encouraging to connect with people who have incredible testimonies and a heart for serving others. In the example below Brian copies a false claim that sources not from study or revelation but from a man who shows deep signs of delusion himself. Bill Johnson was just a little bit off when he endorsed TPT and said it was one of the best things to happen in Bible translation in his lifetime. Yet Bill’s endorsement sure led to a lot of sales for TPT and after TPT was exposed YEARS ago they just doubled down on it and served their people up to the Bible twisting personal enrichment of Brian Simmons. @MikeWingerii @JonmarkBaker and myself made a 4.5 hour, meticulously documented exposé of fraud and plagiarism on a massive scale in the Passion Translation. The response of the TPT advocates has largely been: "I read it and it makes me cry so you can't tell me it's bad." God calls us to love him with our heart, soul, MIND, and strength. Loving God with our mind means engaging difficult facts, even when they conflict with subjective emotional experiences that we may have had. The Resurrection of Christ was an objective fact of history, not a subjective emotional experience of the disciples. Our faith is not built around goose bumps and warm fuzzies. Does God touch the affections of the human heart? Yes. But I can assure you that God does not bless lies and deception, no matter how "moving" those lies may have been.

🇲🇽✝️ A Special Moment at Teen Challenge Mexico ✝️🇲🇽 On Sunday, I had the privilege of attending Teen Challenge Mexico and witnessing the transforming power of Jesus Christ firsthand. During the service, a husband and wife shared their testimony of how God had changed their lives, restored their marriage, and brought healing where there was once brokenness. After they shared, I was asked to pray for them durring the service. As I prayed for them both of them were moved to tears as the presence of the Holy Spirit filled the room. Moments like these are an awesome part of ministry. Seeing people set free from addiction, healed from past hurts, and restored in their relationships is a beautiful testimony to God's grace and faithfulness. This is a recent clip of Bill Johnson preaching from the Passion Translation and praising the footnotes. The only problem? The footnote of the passage Bill is quoting is plagiarized from p. 599 of a book by Glenn David Bauscher (image below) and the second half is plagiarized from the website of a fringe filmmaker named Victor Alexander. Brian Simmons gets the praise (and financial reward) from the Bethel platform, while the authors whose work he stole do not. The Passion Translation is still sold on the Bethel website and bookstore.

One of the textbook "smoking guns" of plagiarism is when one work copies a MISTAKE from another work. In Romans 8:9, The Passion Translation plagiarizes Francois du Toit's footnote from the "Mirror Bible." The only problem is the whole thing was already fictitious when du Toit wrote it. The words in Romans 8:9 and Luke 15:17 are completely different, and the proposed "translation" (which matches in both) is nonsense. Brian sees this footnote and decides to sound smart by saying "this is an unusual Greek clause." There's nothing unusual about the clause in Romans 8:9. The construction used in Luke 15:17 is not similar. The entire thing was fabricated by du Toit. Not only does Brian Simmons not know any of the original languages, he plagiarizes other people who ALSO do not know the languages. This footnote is still on @YouVersion as we speak.
