@cwi_da is working on graph support in @duckdb with the new Property Graph Query (PGQ) syntax in SQL:2023. In my keynote for AMW2023.org there is a concise description of this project and of the new SQL/PGQ language (slides with speaker notes): bit.ly/duckpgq-amw2023

I forgot to mention that we discussed in class how this tweet is yet another example of someone foretelling the inevitable death of SQL and the relational model. My man should ask the CODASYL, ER, semantic, OO, XML, and NoSQL DB proponents how their same predictions worked out...
Tensor and vector databases will replace most legacy databases in this decade. A disruption fueled by natural language interfaces and deep neural representations. In other words: Natural query languages (NQL) replace the lstructured query language (SQL).

This morning: 1) On the sidewalk, hit from behind by a (rented) Bird scooter driven by somebody texting. 2) The very next block, watched a (rented) Revel electric scooter pull an illegal u-turn and run into a parked car, fall over. This is not the dystopian future I expected.
