Ein langer, ausführlicher und laienverständlicher Erklärthread zum Klima Thema „CO₂ Sättigung“, welches ja gerne als Argument verwendet wird, dass es egal sei, wieviel CO₂ wir noch in die Atmosphäre jagen. Gemeint ist damit, dass schon seit längerem die 15um Absorptionsbande des CO₂ gesättigt ist und ein mehr an CO₂ nahezu keinen weiteren Erwärmungseffekt hat.
Wir fangen aber vorne an, damit man das Ganze verstehen kann, dass hilft gezielte Desinformation zu erkennen. Der Thread ist auch für Klimaskeptiker gedacht und daher sehr ausführlich um wichtige Grundlagen laienverständlich zu machen. Daher keine (nur eine kleine) Formeln und wenig Mathematik!

These huge subsurface anomalies do signal a big event, but the subsurface anomalies do not move to the surface and express themselves as hot water, you have to look at the absolute temperatures not the anomalous temperatures to understand what would happen if that water was brought to the surface. Typically when you see strong subsurface anomalies, those subsurface waters are about the same temperature as the water above them at the surface. We don't need hyperbolic climate variability communication in the same sense that we don't need hyperbolic climate change communication. We need to be honest and understand things accurately.

Something potentially massive may be brewing beneath the Pacific.
This is NOT just surface warming.
New 3D diagnostic analysis based on ARMOR data shows a huge subsurface heat reservoir with anomalies reaching 6°C below the ocean surface.
If powerful WWB (Westerly Wind Burst) events intensify and push that heat upward, the surface response could theoretically explode toward 3°C to 4°C El Niño territory.
That would push the climate system into extremely dangerous territory.
Extreme heat. Crop stress. Rainfall chaos. Floods. Droughts. Global weather disruption.
People keep saying “nature is taking revenge.”
Reality is more alarming:
This is atmosphere-ocean physics operating at full power.

New: Climate change literacy has not budged in years. Largely the result of a huge coordinated disinformation campaign. The science is crystal clear: ALL of the warming is due to humans.
