Excited to share our latest study on the 1730s Timanfaya eruption on Lanzarote. Based on fieldwork and geochemistry, we reconstruct eruptive style over time, showing that the first stage of the eruption was explosive. Read more: link.springer.com/epdf/10.10…

🌋This is the #Todoque area before the eruption and now. Not something that we can just "rebuild" and perhaps we shouldn't.
