The seminar highlighted the growing challenge of learning poverty in Pakistan and South Asia, emphasizing how weak foundational literacy and numeracy skills continue to limit educational and economic opportunities. Dr. Malik argued that the issue extends beyond classrooms, noting that institutional weaknesses and governance failures often hinder meaningful reform. A key takeaway from the session was that overcoming learning poverty requires stronger institutions, sustained policy commitment, and inclusive reforms to ensure every child acquires the skills needed to progress in life. To celebrate the spirit of Marka-e-Haq, Quaid-i-Azam University organized a week-long series of activities highlighting patriotism, creativity, and resilience. The Department of English, with the support of the Quaidian English Society, held the “Marka-e-Haq: The Victorious Spirit of Pakistaniat” Painting & AI-Based Content Competition, where students expressed themes of truth, courage, and national pride through creative and AI-based works. Arooj Ali secured first position, followed by Adnan Khan, while Ali Munaf, Ezza Mustufai, and Zonaib Fatima were also recognized for their contributions.
