Working on my birthday is a little bit sweeter knowing there’s a @MilkybarUKI chocolate mousse setting in the fridge, whisked with my new @KitchenAid_CA (@BestBuyCanada have a good sale on rn). You know you’re definitely in your 30s when new kitchen appliances bring genuine joy.

If you want to see how to set up static egress IPs for your cluster, how you can use Azure Firewall to centralise egress controls or how to identify egress traffic - tune in!

Some good discussion and insights here! Seems like using #Kubernetes #NetworkSecurity policies are popular for orgs with a zero trust/least access posture or users managing multi-tenant clusters who need namespace isolation @kubernetesio @projectcalico reddit.com/r/kubernetes/s/C2…

@ThreadoAI vs @ChatGPTapp for @projectcalico Global Network Policy - which #AI platform wins? A user on @StackOverflow wanted to know why their policy was denying ALL egress traffic when they’d only denied 1.1.1.1 and 2.2.2.2. I wanted to know if #AI could figure it out! 🧵/1

Second question: asking both tools to generate the correct policy. @ChatGPTapp needed specific prompts to get the rules right. 🏆 @ThreadoAI takes the win for having no trouble with my prompts, and generated @projectcalico GlobalNetworkSet and GlobalNetworkPolicy. /3

Overall very good experience with @ThreadoAI! Great answers, good explanations for the answers and sources. Admittedly it was trained specifically on @projectcalico content, but impressive nonetheless 🧵/end

I’m back with my second post 🥹 Find out how I used #kubernetes #observability to quickly #troubleshoot and fix an issue that took weeks when I was supporting #FMEFlow (I had no idea observability was a thing back then, or how powerful it is) medium.com/@mapgirll/how-pur…

Earned a badge from @KubeCampus today while checking out how @kastenhq do their @instruqt labs (and testing my #kubernetes skills in the process)

Does anyone know the best geocoded postcode datasets for Canada? Commercial or OS.

Very grateful to work somewhere that approved my time off request and was supportive/invested in me surprising my mum for a day in Boston, even though I hadn’t accrued enough PTO yet. Well worth it! #CompanyCulture #jobs #Kubernetes tigera.io/careers/

One of the questions asked today was “Can we configure Calico so that a pod can connect only to google.com, but another pod cannot connect to google.com and can connect to yahoo.com?” Do you know the answer? #kubernetes #quiz #calico

Learning #Kubernetes was hard and learning #Security is even harder. I’m writing to share what I’m learning as I go to make it as un-intimidating to beginners as possible. I used @projectcalico and @SafeSoftware #FME as an example
So I did something a little bit scary (hello #impostersyndrome) and wrote my first blog on @Medium “A beginner’s journey to Kubernetes security” by Jen Luther Thomas medium.com/@mapgirll/a-begin…
