If United had got 9 more points from home games against Bournemouth, West Ham, Everton and Wolves, they would be 4th and Amorim still in a job. Without 'bonus' wins against Liverpool, Chelsea and Newcastle, they would be 17th.
I think he should go, but there is an argument that United are on par points-wise for European qualification. Can get to 66 points without any points from games against the top 5. It will be the points dropped to Brentford, Palace, Bournemouth etc that will cost him.

Ruben Amorim and Ineos are ruining United. These people are total chancers. This is not a win later team, they should be doing a lot better than they are.
Ruben Amorim is fronting a long-term project at a club which demands short-term results. He’s being asked to win now with a win later squad. He needs time and patience. espn.com/soccer/story/_/id/4…

The problem with Man United under Ruben Amorim is not that they are bad or dysfunctional, it's that they're shackled on an overtly conservative, risk-averse system devoid of flair, directness or youth team players. At odds with the club's self-identity, and without results.

Amorin needs to go. He does not understand Manchester United.

Another lacklustre performance. You have an 18-year-old Shea Lacey who has practically been with the first team all season who couldn't get a chance for a like-for-like defensive sub when you need a goal. Kobbie Mainoo unused sub again. Fans are exhausted. Joke. #MUFC

Aston Villa fans should be able to watch their team in safety. No to Israeli hooligans in Birmingham.
Antisemitism is a stain on our society that shames us all. Every football fan, whoever they are, should be able to watch their team in safety. This Government is doing everything in our power to ensure all fans can safely attend the game.

Starmer is an incredible disappointment, firstly in terms of his cosiness with fascists, and secondly as someone who makes a big deal of his supposed love of football.
This is the wrong decision. We will not tolerate antisemitism on our streets. The role of the police is to ensure all football fans can enjoy the game, without fear of violence or intimidation. bbc.co.uk/sport/football/art…

Why does the club insist on waiting for the situation to become completely untenable before making a change despite the downward trajectory being as clear as day?

10-year-old me was there with my dad too. Went to Wembley three times in 1994 (!) but have not been since...
Today marks 31 years since Aston Villa’s victory over Manchester Utd in the Coca-Cola Cup final. It was a match that I attended as a 10-year-old with my Dad. Here’s the story of our father and son day out at the old Wembley… stusfootballflashbacks.com/2…

Due diligence on signings obviously does not include whether they are bigots. Still no backbone at United, a year on from the Greenwood farce.
