I’m trying to be polite here but I’m forced to say that this Lady is ignorant of British history and the history of struggle. Most likely because she has never had to struggle for anything . How many people looked at this statement yet didn’t know it wasn’t true?
The Lady Chief Justice: Palestine Action was not a direct action civil disobedience protest group like the suffragettes, but used violence to destroy property The suffragettes burned down country houses & train stations, bombed churches & sent letter bombs to politicians.

The parliamentary debate on 22 June about Israeli influence on UK politics will take place with this as its backdrop: a government dominated by Israeli interests. Any speaker in that debate should be required to state publicly whether they have taken money from Israeli sources.

So glad @TheGreenParty has a leader prepared to speak out about this crime.
There is now clear evidence that the Great Israeli Real Estate event had unlawful activity at it. I've written to the Mayor of London to ask what he intends to do about it. This needs to be escalated immediately.

Shameful!
At a UK Parliament briefing, H.E. Ambassador @hzomlot said that allowing the ā€œGreat Israel Real Estate Eventā€ to take place on British soil by the British government is shameful, illegal, and a direct violation of government policy. The government must ban such criminal conduct and the organisers must be held accountable.

Referring to the Advertising Standards Agency adverts for unlawful property in occupied Palestine, is not enough. If ministers believe settlements are illegal, they should examine using Money Laundering, and Proceeds of Crime, powers — not just adverts. news.sky.com/story/homes-in-…

This is misleading framing by the BBC. Completely omitting from the headline that the synagogue hosted an event that was encouraging and facilitating Palestinian land theft. Instead it’s worded as though a place of worship itself was the target.

Some of those women gave everything so you could sit in that chair, and you repay them by rewriting and erasing their stories, to give cover for genocide. Absolutely pathetic.

Just a quick one guys, what was happening inside the synagogue that caused people outside to protest?
We are deeply disturbed at the wholly unjustified protest called for this morning outside a synagogue. We are calling on the police to ensure such protests are kept a significant distance from places of worship to prevent intimidation to members of the Jewish community.

I’ve written to the Secretary of State for Business & Trade, backed by 60 colleagues, demanding answers after Belgian authorities seized two shipments of UK military equipment bound for Israel in March. We need an arms embargo on Israel & full transparency on export controls.

Jeremy Corbyn asked the Labour government about RAF Akrotiri spy flights over Gaza. He got silence and evasion. I stand with the Palestinian people and with this Your Party petition. Andy Burnham must commit to a public inquiry. Add your namešŸ‘‡šŸ¾ in.yourparty.uk/en/petitions…

So will you be retracting this now its clear they were lying. Will you condemn the event and the synagogue for hosting it? We know the answer to that dont we. You will use any means to protect Istael for accountability for its crimes and to shield those complicit in supporting those crimes. You are unfit for any public office.
This is not just completely untrue, but it is also dangerous and irresponsible to tell people this. The organisers have denied very strongly that the event involved the sale of land in the West Bank: 'All exhibitors, without exception, will provide information about properties and projects within the Green Line' He should withdraw this immediately. jewishnews.co.uk/foreign-sec…

ā€˜The rejection of Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya’s appeal and his continued detention without charge represent a profound moral and legal failure.’
UPDATE - Israel’s Supreme Court Rejects Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya’s Appeal The rejection of Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya’s appeal and his continued detention without charge represent a profound moral and legal failure. Rather than upholding the fundamental principles of the rule of law and due process, the court has endorsed the indefinite detention of a hospital director who remains in solitary confinement while suffering from medical conditions that are not receiving appropriate treatment. The message sent by this decision is unmistakable: a medical professional can be deprived of his liberty indefinitely without being charged and without the authorities presenting evidence against him in open court. Dr. Abu Safiya’s case is not an isolated one. It illustrates how judicial review proceedings for Palestinian detainees from Gaza have, in practice, become little more than a procedural formality. Every month, hundreds of detention review hearings take place, yet to the best of our knowledge they have not resulted in the meaningful reconsideration or revocation of detention orders—even in cases involving doctors and other medical personnel. We call for the immediate release of Dr. Abu Safiya and all other doctors who continue to be held without charge or trial.

More than 700 people face terrorism charges for holding placards. The Court of Appeal ruled today that was lawful. No government minister has faced a single charge for licensing weapons used in a genocide. Not one

"Where someone has committed criminal damage, that can be dealt with using ordinary criminal law - Rather than using broad and poorly defined anti terrorism powers."
In a disastrous ruling, the Court of Appeal in London has overruled the High Court and upheld the government's decision to ban Palestine Action as a terrorist group. Defining a protest group as terrorists has created an absurd situation where thousands of people have been arrested for holding up signs. Learn more:
