We need a fundamental change in the social view of addiction. It is a complex response to suffering, a human problem, solutions need to be humane in every possible way. Inclusion, support, empathy.
More needed to recognize addiction not as failure of will, but as complex response to trauma (often fr childhood) | CBC News cbc.ca/news/canada/british-c… @DMMcFee @LEPH2019 @JonesDJ37 @MatthewSwarney @ShelKenn @RiteshKotak @ChiefNish @JournalCSWB @Quiltershan50
A new law passed in New Zealand promises to decriminalise drug use in favour of a public health approach. Way to go! And please let's also focus on supporting individuals and families to be(come) free of vulnerability and risk. Upstream!

Why are our parties talking about the leaders of the other parties and not about their own and how good they are?
Trudeau gushed about communist dictator Fidel Castro, claiming that Fidel had “tremendous dedication and love” for Cuba and that the death of the “legendary revolutionary” brought him “deep sorrow”. #100Days100Fails #cdnpoli 100days100trudeaufails.ca

Integrated action to solve interlinked challenges! At all levels, horizontally and vertically. We're on it and we will, all of us together!
There is a contradiction in the world today: global challenges are interlinked, but our response is fragmented. We need more integrated global action to repair broken trust and uphold dignity for all. My intervention at #WEF19 with @borgebrende: youtu.be/zB-otRS6KTU
